Why is there all this talk about a May date against Canelo? Do people forget cotto calls the shots and decides insted of canelo? For all we know Cotto wants to fight in february and then in june against Canelo. I also doubt cotto wants to go against a mayweather card. So why all the issueabout if the guy that decides will probably pick another date
Cotto vs Canelo Cinco de Mayo weekend at MSG. Book it.
I think is this will be the agreement/ compromise.
I wonder how much money it will be offered to Cotto?
Look at Dunn and Raheem bringing up Showtime numbers and... Floyd doesn't even fight on Showtime. Dunn, you haven't proven anything except your lack of IQ once again, Showtime is making money overall because of subscriptions. However, they are losing money whenever Floyd does a PPV. I don't know how you can't get that small issue resolved in your brain, they are not the same thing. The NFL makes a sh*load of money off of Patriots games, there is a reason they black out the Jaguar games, because they lose money. Overall the NFL makes money but there are area's where their bottom line is affected, the Floyd situation is no different.
Again, Floyd fights on PPV not Showtime so why you bring up subscription numbers is irrelevant. I'm talking PPV buys and you keep saying "People are watching Showtime." When was Floyd's last Showtime fight? Really the only proof you need to know CBS/Showtime is losing money is them talking to a rival network about making a fight. Why would CBS want to split the profits they are RAKING in (supposedly) with NBC, because they are a good hearted corporation?
showtime replays every one of Floyd's ppv fights the next week. they also air his all access shows and did a documentary one on CBS, one on showtime, when Floyd signed the deal.
do you have anything to support your opinion? you also have yet to answer why they haven't exercised the out clause since, as you claim, they are losing money. so they are just losing money and not exercising the mechanism that can stop this?
I have proven your statement that showtime is losing money to be false. you have notproduced any proof that SHOWTIME doesn't profit from Floyd's ppv fights. you guessed at what it might be based on some formula you have no idea if its actually valid. you are just guessing.
JUst produce something to support your argument. MD at least got a quarterly report. post something that corroborates your opinion. anything.
Which is fine, that has no bearing on showtime subscriptions. They lose money every time Floyd fights, they aren't losing money when Ray Donovan airs. That's about all Dunn has proven, that TV shows on Showtime don't cost them money.
... Ray Donovan and Homeland etc...
Floyd is aired specifically by SHOWTIME PPV®...

I realized that when he accused me of spin in the 1st response. All I asked is for him to produce something to support his position.
I gave you math that you chose to ignore, your lack of IQ isn't my problem it is yours. We aren't arguing Showtime subscriptions (well apparently you are for some reason) I'm talking about PPV numbers so again I ask why do you bring up Showtime? The Showtime subscriptions do nothing for the PPV number so why would Floyd's buys (or lack thereof) have anything to do with Showtime subscription numbers? It's because you have nothing to refute that 2.5 million buys since June 2013 AT BEST makes Showtime/CBS owe Floyd 3 million without paying anyone else. Here is where I'll see "Showtime has all the subscriptions doe" and that somehow makes me wrong... HBO has more subscribers and gets higher ratings doe!!!! So Manny makes way more than Floyd it's just science bro.

You totally took him to school. But he will never put it to rest because he's on an endless journey to make negative comments when it comes to Mayweather. He does it all the time. :lol1:
He totally said Showtime would do this, and Showtime would do that. And yet, Showtime is happily 4 fights into the 6 fight contract. :lol1:
I realized that when he accused me of spin in the 1st response. All I asked is for him to produce something to support his position.
which is it BOA?
you also didn't address the post about SHowtime's not using its out clause. If Floyd is losing the company money, why haven't they exercised it.
thank you, something tangible. from the article:
Subscription and affiliate fees increased 6.7% to $586 million amid higher rates at Showtime Networks, CBS Sports Network, and Smithsonian Networks.
Just makes my point-anyone that syas Showtime has been losing money since they signed the deal with Floyd is wrong. we now have 3 quarterly earnings report all showing showtime is making money.
Can this issue be put to rest now?

What about paying all those cameraman, the ref, the judges, the announcers, the people working the concessions... Yes, the casino gives the fighters a fee to fight there, but you are on crack if you think that the casino doesn't get any part of the gate fee, in fact they get a majority that's why they pay a fee. They say we can give you $5 million (assuming they'll make $10 million) that's exactly how business works. Only Floyd fans think all these businesses want Floyd to fight in their arena's so that they can pay Floyd and not make anything for themselves.
The cameramen are staff employees paid salaries, usually. It is one of the least of concerns in expenses. The judges are paid by NSAC. The concessions? They are usually independent and have to share some of the money they make. So forth and so forth. There's a lot of money revolving around the fight. But they make a lot of money off the gate. It is very profitable.
By default, the casinos are going to make millions because of the huge number of people coming into town. You are trying to negate every single point of revenue to fulfill your hatred towards one fighter.
I bet you never sing a word about HBO losing revenue over Manny Pacquaio who has a very very similar deal to Mayweather via Top Rank. Pacquaio gets on average $20 million per fight. Going by how you like to assume, we can guess that Top Rank's contract with HBO is at a nice $30 million per fight. And they just dish Pacquaio $20 million. And Pacquaio's PPV numbers have been considerably less than Floyd's overall in recent times.

Floyd has no choice who he fights next, at least to a certain extent. CBS and NBC honchos had talks about making the Manny fight, Floyd is not his own boss his daddies at Showtime are. Floyd is not smarter than a massive corporation like CBS and a $200 million deal over 3 years didn't just happen without someone making sure CBS had some ways out of it or leverage over Floyd. I'm sure they were okay with Floyd fighting anybody if they were making money, they're losing money now and that isn't going to fly anymore. If a fight with Manny happens Arum will be involved Floyd has no choice, it'll be the same in a Cotto rematch and that's assuming Cotto has a long-term deal with them in place which no one really knows.
Floyd/Cotto 2 will happen with Arum involved if Showtime says that's who Floyd has to fight next or they just drop him from that contract. A condition of any contract is living up to your end of the deal, for CBS it's paying him $32 million a fight. For Floyd's its delivering PPV buys and he hasn't been doing that so Showtime has the leverage.
Of course Showtime is profitable, Floyd never fights on Showtime he fights on PPV... Showtime makes money because they have people pay a monthly fee it has NOTHING to do with Mayweather's contract. Using simple numbers, CBS is losing money paying Floyd it's that simple it has absolutely nothing to do with Showtime.
which is it BOA?

Will you produce something tangible to support your opinion? I provide facts that refute your claim. You then make a statement that isn't supported by anything.
You may want showtime to be losing money, but you haven't produced anything to show that this is true.
Did you forget about the gate? The gate which has been breaking records in revenue? And did you forget about all the sponsorship money? Theater revenue?

This is true. Floyd is not a showtime fighter. He's a ppv fighter. Those who want to see Floyd fight dont have to subscribe to Showtime.
Showtime as a whole may be profitable but Showtime sports may not be. Showtime sports is just one fraction of the company.
