The NFL changed its policy on performance enhancing drugs recently and multiple suspended players were instantly ruled eligible for competition.
Should boxing do the same?
I bet Pac's ko % go back up. Seriously this is boxing and people dont have a helmet to protect them, so HELL NO.:nonono:
Moron, Pac's ko % dropped when he moved up to WW and fought bigger guys.
Herman, Bailey, Welker and Scandrick were all suspended for PED use. That was the problem with the policy. The nfl is now more lenient on players who take recreational drugs like marijuana and amphetamines if they test positive during the offseason. That's why all of those players were reinstated. There were many other players suspended that were not reinstated.
Before marijuana was considered a ped and resulted in an automatic four game ban. Now it is handled differently. The players are enrolled into a substance abuse program if they test positive.
It's very important to understand if a player gets popped for amphetamines during the season, he will get a four game ban just like in the past.
Man thank you PE
You mufckas hear that?!
Lol
Damn you too hectari..
Eric Herman and Stedmon Bailey were both suspended 4 games for PED use.
After the new policy was passed they both were ruled eligible immediately.
Yes HGH testing is now part of the new drug policy but what it appears they've done is reduce the penalties for such offenses.

Lolll they're testing for HGH... if that happens in boxing Wladimir and Joshua will look like Richard Abril within the next year! And that goes for any other ridiculously muscled heavyweight
This.
The loosened stance on recreational drugs like weed. But upped their ped policy to be stricter. Op needs to read the whole article not just the headline

the nature of certain positions in football really encourage PED use. at the end of the day it is an extremely violent sport and pinching a few guys for cheating isnt going to make it safer.
Eric Herman lineman for the Giants was suspended 4 games for PED use. After the new policy was passed he was ruled eligible immediately.
Stedman Bailey reciever for the Rams, suspended 4 games for PED use. After the new policy was passed he was ruled eligible immediately.
Do I need to continue?
I don't know either guy or the circumstances behind their suspensions being lifted. I guess whatever they tested for fell under the 2 game suspension for masking agents.
The new drug policy was created for leniency on recreational drugs. It also instituted harsher testing on PEDs that didn't exist before. That's not loosening its stance on PEDs. That's strengthening it.
They loosened the rules for narcotics and actually are testing for HGH for the first time. They've done the exact opposite of loosening their stance on PEDs.

las vegas boxing commission has been lax on implementing strict rules against ped use since the start. fraud jr has been caught not only once but 3X and the commission did nothing about it.
i'm for stricter rules against ped use in all sports.

Hahaha......
Live across the street from house a football player rents during season and the neighborhood kids look up to him so no, no sport should loosen up on PED usage.
I'm definitely not a steroid/HGH expert but I hope people realize that the testing for HGH is a joke and you would likely not get caught using HGH even while being tested. It's apparently only detectable for a short time after injection.
Of course, but it's still a step the NFL went a long time avoiding. So they definitely didn't loosen their stance on PEDs, they actually tightened it.
I mean, we all know NFL players are jacked on all kinds of stuff and won't get busted unless they go incredibly extreme. But some testing is better than none.

lol you just ended his thread

This. I saw on Sports Center they were now testing for HGH and other stuff they hadn't before.
Boxing needs to lay off the pot, not so sure about some other drugs as there would be benefits to some depending on when they were in your system....i.e. a little coke in the corner would be a PED IMO
But pot is just stupid and it seems like the commisions are just trying to play moral policeman, which is weird in a sport like boxing where nothing else morally ambiguous ever takes place.
