What did you think of Tito vs Roy in 2008?

I thought they were both well over the hill but both men fought well. Tito never seemed to have his heart 100% in boxing after the Hopkins KO defeat and Jones was a much bigger man. It was a natural 175 pounder against a fat 154 pounder. Before the Hopkins loss Trinidad was a real monster and 154 was his best weight after he could no longer be comfortable at 147.

After the match was over I really didn't think Roy was that shot. You might say it was Roy's last great performance. Going into the Calzaghe fight I thought he might have another in him. We all know how that turned out. Or was it more that Tito was shot? a light heavyweight vs a blown up junior middleweight

RJJ did look good BUT I think most people believed he would win. Tito did not belong anywhere close to that weight class plus he was way over the hill.

They were both shot but Tito was too small and had no fights in years. RJ fell off a cliff after getting KO'd by Tarver simple as that.

Went to the fight.. MSG went nuts when Tito came out... first few rounds got Titos fans in an uproar and Roy took over from there. Was a fun meaningless fight. Tito made 10 million. Who blames him? Wasn't Roys last great fight, that was Lacy.

Beating Lacy is hardly a big deal. Any fight after winning the HW title from Ruiz wasn't a big deal.

Easy fight for RJJ even after the weight lost and former shell of himself. Imagine if the fight would of happen when Roy was in his prime? But Tito lost to Hopkins so it didn't then. Jones last great performance was against Jeff Lacey the way he was throwing so many punches & combos making Jeff look like punching bag like vintage Roy. the right opposition turns back the clock a bit

Tito was much more shot than Roy was at the time plus fighting way out of his weight class and Tito couldn't beat Roy on Roy's worst day

tito was way outta shape, jones was physically in a much better place trinidad lost all his snap and strength after a couple of rd's if i remember right
