I thought the contract ended in October 2015? I honestly wish Chavez would go away, he's such an overrated fighter. Supposedly he has monster punching power, but look all the guys who go the distance - Vanda, Rowland, Duddy, Zbik, Rubio, Vera 2x, even his big TKO wins - Lee & Manfredo were stopped on their feet by the infamous Lawrence Cole. I thought so. What an idiot, he could've fought one fight and been out of his contract six months ago. This could be the end of his career, if he's out of the ring for over two years he'll completely lose what craft he has. He hasn't had a real trainer since he left Roach after the Martinez fight. No promoter with a brain will contract Chavez to fight anywhere near that weight. When he shows up 10 lbs over it risks the entire event being cancelled. I'd be surprised if a TV network was that careless as well.
