First off, my condolences to the Goosen family....
Anyhow, I'm sure Arum will look into the legal stuff before anything can happen.
We all know this is what Ward wanted in the first place by not this way...
I don't know the inner workings of goossen Tudor promotions but I wouldn't be shocked if the people who take over ownership would sellout to an arum or haymon type.. It happens a lot in business when the main driving force with the expertise dies.. Family members or other investors may feel that they aren't cut out or don't want to deal in the world of boxing promotions and just cash out
Idk if u like MMA but Eddie Alvarez was stuck at Bellator MMA and the main man there (Bjorn Rebney) wouldn't let him out to go to the UFC. Once he was out of the picture, Eddie was released with no problems. Same could happen here too.
Dan's death probably doesn't have any effect on Ward's contract with Goossen Tutor promotions, unless the Dan's replacement decides to cut him loose as a business decision.
Ward is an individual but Dan represented a company.
When the guy who gave you a loan dies the bank doesn't scratch it off the books.
ward will join haymon he wont go near arum
Why not? Ward wants to fight Chavez. For that to happen, he'd have to join Top Rank. That was very likely the plan when Ward initially tried to leave Goossen.

I know that he passed relatively quickly, but I'm sure he had enough time to get his affairs in order. Don't expect this lawsuit to quietly go away.

I think that a deal to let him walk will be easier to make without the bad blood between the two. Whoever takes over Goosen's business (assuming it doesn't just fold) will have no incentive to have a top p4p guy on the sideline when he could be making money for the promoter or have Arum pay them a fee or percentage on his future fights. Who knows how this shakes out but I think we see Ward back in the ring sooner rather than later. Arum wants to make fights with GGG and Chavez Jr. against Ward.
You think just because Goossen died, Ward's contract dies with him?
That's what I'm thinking. He's legally bound to Goosen, and his company. Even in death. Unless contract states otherwise. Of course, I'm assuming here.
