Rewatching, Rescoring broner-maidana

First time I watched this fight I had it 116-110 or 117-109 for maidana I don't quite remember. Second time around I'm giving maidana first 2 rounds (he won them big). 3rd round I initially gave to maidana but this time I gave it to broner (paulie agrees with me). 4th round could go either way, last time I actually gave this to broner but this time I feel maidana's output took this round. 5th, and 6th to broner last time i gave the 6th to maidana this time I actually think broner took it idk that round can go Either way. So far i have it 4-3 broner in rounds after 7. Feel kind of weird sayin this lol. round 8 would have literally gone to broner, but maidana won it because of the knockdown 4-4 in rounds so far. 9-8 round for maidana. 75-74 maidana after 8. 9th round was ALL maidana. I mean maidana won this round BIG just like the first and second rounds. See, on the punchstats this actually looks like maidana is just destroying broner (which he pretty much is) throughout the whole fight but broner actually won some of these middle rounds I didn't see for him before. I guess that low quality stream I was watching made me think maidana was winning ALL of these rounds. 9th and 10th rounds clearly for maidana 95-92 maidana at this point. My god what a f*cking round, round 11. I just don't know who to give this one to. That was one of the best rounds of boxing I've ever seen to be honest. That is a legit toss up round, that I hate to do this but I honestly do lean toward maidana in this round, I think he landed the better shots, maybe if broner's shot didn't come after the bell he could've stolen it in my heart. 105-101 for maidana on the scorecards for me heading into the last round. That round 12 was something else, broner caught maidana two 1-2 combinations in the middle of the ring early that had maidana almost out on his feet, he didn't follow up with anything I don't think broner even realized maidana was hurt because it looked like he was looking to counter after that when he should've pressed and unloaded on him. Then he got caught with some huge shots as well, man broner has some real heart in him. Great fight 10/10. Round to broner because he clearly had maidana hurt badly like 3 times during this round, but maidana wasn't too far behind in this round though. 114-111 Maidana My final scorecard on this fight. To be honest, If judges were really generous toward broner like had they fought on the east coast I wouldn't be surprised to have seen this scored a draw. But i think we were all in such excitement seeing broner get handled by someone like this everyone was kinda bias'd here not gonna lie. Scorecards weren't that bad, i disliked 117-109 though. Great fight overall.

His best rds he threw a couple good combinations. This is what these fans do. The Garcia, Mayweather, Broner type fans. They all join in this thread, come up with an idea of what happened, and repeat it over and over, and suck each other off in the process. It's sickening. And youre doing what the mathysse, maidana, ggg, kovalev, provo fans do...inzist they pitch shutouts in fights and get robbed when they lose.

Agree with the Threadstarter the fight was closer then most people think. I havent watched it in about a year but i think I scored it roughly the same. Broner got hurt early but battled back and started to get some rounds but got hurt again and had to battle back again. Broner clearly lost but it was a good fight. I actually became more of a Broner fan after the loss if that makes any sense.

8-4 maidana with 2 Kd's and two other rounds 1 and 9 where Maidana beat him up badly. The ones Broner won he barely won and even got hurt in a few of those. I don't argue with having it even wider either. No way broner won 5 rounds though. Dominating win for Maidana.

I think I gave Broner 2 rds. The fight wasnt close. Broner had very few moments. I don't really know what you are talking about. Broner won more than just two rds bro. Come on...... Don't be a bias Argentinito!

I gave Broner like 3 later rounds and had Maidana winning pretty easily. That said, Broner didn't fade out and get stopped like I thought he was going to and I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch. It was a decent fight and I think a rematch would be good.

Broker won 4 rounds max. Inactivity kills him, even in the Taylor fight I think it was round 4; at 1 point in that round Taylor threw like 48 punches and idiot Broner threw like 12 :pat:

Broner needed to let his hands go more often... He was not active enough.. Anytime he let his hands go later in the fight, he was having success That's exactly what I thought, he is a very unintelligent fighter.

No way anyone can say Broner won 5 rds with a straight face. It's absurd. Watch the fight... 1 or 2 clean shots can negate any sloppiness maidana was doing. You score fights on clean punching, not sloppy grazing shots.anyways maidana won no need to argue with me about what i think just acknowledge a close fight when it comes to a round by round basis..

Look, guys like you rush to say Maidana lost 9-3 in the first Mayweather fght, and that Floyd crushed in the rematch when none of that happened. But now you wanna bring up how Broner conceivably could have won? How am I biased. Broner got outworked basically evey rd. He flashed some stuff in rds, but never did enough. He got beat down, and left the ring with the help of two guys. Broner clearly lost, I just found it closer this time than last time. Alot closer than i thought it would be actually. The rounds broner lost he lost by like a mile, the ones he won he barely won. I mean overall he definitely lost the fight and it was kind of 1 sided in terms of punchstats, but we score by rounds not by punches landed and broner won alot more rounds than I thought he did the first time.

It kind of reminded me of Trinidad vs Vargas in that Vargas and Broner were hurt bad in the first rounds and still soldiered to the end. But what an execution that last round was for Vargas. Brutal beating.

Broner is tough cos he took maidanas best punches and shook them off and didn't seem to have any lasting effects on him in the fight and was fighting back pretty good. I suppose he had a good 12th round as Maidana was still trying to shake off that punch after that bell that he got caught cold with. If Broner had of taken that shot from Maidana, he would have been rolling on the floor trying to get a disqualification I agree. I think Broner showed grit. I like both fighters and recognize that AB is an ass but he can fight. He definitely wasn't outclassed, particularly in the first fight. Floyd's punch output is too low to out class a high volume puncher like chino. He outclassed canelo, not chino. 9-3 first fight.. 10-2 the second fight.. Let's just day they were not close..
