GEORGE GROVES is eyeing an quick-fire return the big time after disposing of Christopher Rebrasse tomorrow.
And he has already been caught up in a war of words with his potential next opponent.
Victory over European super-middleweight holder Rebrasse at Wembley Arena will clinch a tilt at WBC world champion Anthony Dirrell - but the sparks have already started between the pair.

I'm a Froch fan, but I'll even say that the shot at Froch was too soon. He has really good potential and he'll get better with experience, and I'd pick him to beat Dirrell in a close fight but he could knock him out.
Groves had 2 tries at a title and is 0-2. Get to the back of the queue now and give someone else a chance. And anyone who believes Groves deserves to get another crack this soon is on crack, TFOH.....
Groves will be beaten and everyone will say Froch took everything out of him when the truth is he's not that good. He's just glorified because he gave Froch some trouble and knocked him down.
What has Dirrell done? Um that's a tough one. Oh I remember.....HE WON THE BELT BY FIGHTING IN THE RING!!! Where is Groves' belt??? Tough question huh? Don't worry I'll wait on the answer. LOL
You guys don't know sh-t about boxing. LOL Be objective when making comments. Groves won't even beat Sakio Bika. He got stopped twice by Froch who isn't even that great. Jermain Taylor was destroying Froch until he got stopped in the 12th, and Andre Dirrell clearly beat him but didn't get the nod, because he wasn't the home town fighter.
This is false. Taylor was pretty much done after the halfway point of that fight.
Dirrell didn't clearly beat Froch either, that fight was close.
See....when you come to the states you get a fair shake on a fight (ex: Porter / Brook), however USA fighters literally have to knock someone out to get a fair shake in the UK (ex: Dirrell / Froch, Carson Jones / Amir Khan). This isn't a rant....this is the truth...if you don't like it....too bad....deal with it.
Carson Jones fought Brook, not Khan. Terrence Crawford won a decision in the UK this year.
I hate to hear clowns talk that don't know a d@mn thing about boxing. Stop it please.
Possibly best you avoid your own posts then.

A fair shake? It was a majority decision in a fight where Porter barely landed a single clean punch....lol hardly the best example
Khan sure got a fair shake in D.C against a juiced to the gills Peterson? Or Lennox Lewis against Evan Fields?
Stop it. Please.
I don't think anyone is saying Groves is above Dirrell, but I would say they're similarly ranked. Taking Micky Mouse titles out of it, they're both mid top10 contenders.
Groves isn't ranked solely on losing competitively to Froch, he has also beaten DeGale (Olympic gold medalist and Froch's mandatory), Glen Johnson and even Paul Smith has an alphabet title shot lined up.
I'd still fancy him to beat anyone not named Froch or Ward. Assuming of course he bounces back the same fighter.
You would fancy him even against Andre Dirrell? That guy beat even Froch I don't think that Groves would pass that test.
And sorry but his win over DeGale was 3 years ago and since than his resume didn't become so much better he collected some wins over mediocre guys and he lost (I think the first was a BS stoppage) twice to Froch, so I hardly consider the DeGale win as a good start point to judge Groves present postion on the division rankings. IMO Paul Williams isn't a big deal and I also don't think that Glen Johnson with his 17 loss is a decent win. But sure Groves has big talent, I think also that he would beat anyone in SMW not named Froch, Ward and Andre Dirrell. And I don't know much about Anthony Dirrell yet, that fight would be 50-50 IMO. Dirrel didn't look good against Bika, but Bika is a very awkward oppponent, it's hard to look good against him, even Ward struggled with him in the first 3-4 rounds. So I wait already with judging the younger Dirrell.
What has Dirrell done? Um that's a tough one. Oh I remember.....HE WON THE BELT BY FIGHTING IN THE RING!!! Where is Groves' belt??? Tough question huh? Don't worry I'll wait on the answer. LOL

Oh boy...
So having a belt means you are automatically better than anyone who doesn't have one?
And this guy has the cheek to tell others they don't know sh.it about boxing...
(Btw when did Carson Jones fight Amir Khan in the UK, mr. boxing genius? It Brook vs Carson, and that fight was no robbery.)
LOL at Dirrell saying Groves is unworthy to fight him. Needing two tries to eke out an unimpressive decision win vs Bika doesn't make you a bigshot. Knocking Froch down and giving him a good fight twice is more impressive than anything Dirrell has ever done.

He struggled to win that belt and has done nothing else in the ring to show he belongs at the top level, and definitely not enough to think he can call the shots with Froch. Groves would go to the states to fight him so no need to cry foul play in England.
You're ranting, stop it please.

I would definitely rank Groves higher than Dirrell.
Dirrell is so crap it's unreal. His brother is the real thing though, he's an amazing talent.
Anthony is nothing.
Degale > Bika.
And what has Dirrell done to prove he belongs at the elite level?

I'm not sure that he is "elite" class but: Beating Bika > A close fight (with early stoppage) and a KO loss to Froch. If Dirrell would just amost beat Bika second time or he would got knock out then Groves would be ahead of him, but since Dirrel beat Bika, Groves isn't ahead of him. Simple as that.
