So we all know Al has his office space in Vegas and his website coming soon. Sure looks like a promotional entity, not strictly managerial.
Is Haymon's plan to restructure all of his fighters' agreements to allow him to be the promoter and someone else (e.g. Sam Watson) to be the manager/advisor? Legally, he can't have it both ways (Ali Act), even though we all know he really does. Is the plan to be a promotional entity or just stay managerial and use Mayweather Promotions, Golden Boy and basically any other promotional entity other than Top Rank or Main Events?
Oscar sued Schaefer for $50mil...assuming his contract is valued at half that that amount....ask yourselves...is it worth buying his contract? Is Schafer really worth all that money? How can Schafer generate $25mil in profits for anyone (promoters/fighters)? People are replaceable...he did good stuff with match-making when he teamed up with Haymon...anyone can do good match making, it's just that Haymon wants his fighters to fight safer Salka like options.
Mayweather could buy out his contract. Could he?
If the numbers satisfy DLH/Golden Boy, sure he can. Unless Oscar is so confident he has a winning hand and wants to be vindictive.
Mayweather could buy out his contract. Could he?
I'm no lawyer..but I do think his contract can be bought. If Floyd wanted to buy it out...he would've done it already.
Schaefer has a contract with GBP till 2016, he can't do shyt till then unless someone buys out his contract.

I don't see Mayweather playing an active role in boxing promotions at all..unlike Oscar/Arum. Floyd might want to use his name to promote fighters but with Ellerbee looking like he;s on his way out....I dunno who can replace him. Schaefer isn;t dumb enough to choose TMT/Mayweather Promos over Haymon.
Does Al Haymon even need Floyd Mayweather in this business venture? TMT stable of fighters stinks and they're not putting on any shows...Floyd May be left out in the cold when he retires if Haymon sticks the knife in his back.
Haymon can dump Floyd post-retirement for all he wants & he would still be fine since he's got all of his GBP fighters whom he's advising.
GBP STABLE > TMT/Mayweather Promos drug cheat stable
I think Haymon will move all his fighters over to Mayweather Promotions, And Richard Schaefer will join Mayweather Promotions when able.
