Oscar is trying to make Floyd fight Pac**BANNED PLEASE POST In MASTER THREAd**

I think Oscar and Arum may be making a HUGE power move here. If Arum and Oscar co promote this fight together with HBO's backing (whom I believe will host the PPV), it'll be really tough for Floyd to top that fighting Amir Khan or Danny Garcia. Even Espinoza is hinting from a recent LA Times article that he wants to make that fight, and why wouldn't he?? There's no way Showtime is making a profit off Floyd with only 1 out of 4 fights selling over a Million buys and adding the huge guarantee Floyd gets up front. Besides Manny, Cotto vs Canelo trumps any fight Floyd can realistically make.

There won't be a rematch to this fight, if it ever happens. Floyd will beat the **** out of him the first time outright.

Maybe Oscar would get better PPV numbers if Sho didn't charge $75 a pop. Just sayin.... In the UK PPV events are nowhere near that expensive. Groves Froch 2, the biggest fight here for quite a while, was IIRC about £16? Hatton v Mayweather in 2007 was around £20. If it was up to US levels in the UK (£50+), literally nobody would watch it. At the price it is, many casual fans will shell out. Crazy ass price. And is it just me, or is Floyd starting to remind me of Apollo Creed the first time you see him in Rocky? It's all business baby.

Oscar is decent he'll try to put Cotto-Canelo on the Pac-Floyd undercard and try to lure him in "with the biggest fight card ever!" But Arum would hate that. Because they did big numbers with Floyd & Manny but they don't do big number with anybody else. Put it like this Khan is a bigger star than Maidana by all acounts. Floyd did up to 900k vs him which is considered a flop for Floyd because he's that big of a star he doing good numbers vs anybody he fights. Cotto biggest fight without Floyd or Manny is barely 600k in a Margarito rematch the Sergio fight was built as being bigger did close to 40% less. Canelo did less fighting Lara which was a true legitimate fight than he did vs Angulo. Lebron James is the only athlete in US(note I said US) who is a bigger name than Floyd Mayweather right now. Canelo vs Cotto is huge boxing fans fight it's not a huge event. I think HBO & Showtime can come together to get a big guaranteed purse together along with guaranteed rematch to get Mayweather vs. Pacquiao to happen. Though we know Al Haymon calls the shots so the options on the table right now are Amir Khan, Danny Garcia or Keith Thurman. I think Demetrius Andrade has a chance to get a fight with Mayweather if he wins the WBO 160lbs title.

This thread is funny because I have seen several interviews where Oscar has clearly stated that Floyd was not the reason the fight hasn't happened. He also hinted at PAC being a cheater. So what changed???Now Bob wants the fight in Macau?? First it was some imaginary ultimate stadium (that never got built)now he wants to take the fight overseas after all the years of support from Americans. They both need to retire If anything, oscar has implied that floyd did not want the fight vs pac in the george lopez show as many boxers have samely said like duran, hagler, hollyfield, pryor, etc..read my sig , got a link back it up too.. And unlike yogaboy, pac does not demand impossible things like sigining to his amateur promotional outfit to make the fight , fight going to macau was never demanded ...

Mayweather can try to fight Cotto for the lineal MW title on 5 de mayo I think this is a legit option for floyd but he would have to give cotto a good reason to fight him again, more $$$, given he did not seem happy with the judges cards when they fought and floyd have a lot to gain,(lineal title at 5th division, never been done) but if cotto takes half of the pie for the canelo fight, it'd be hard for floyd to beat that wihout sacrifising a lot of dough, floyd would pretty much the b side for this one......
