i know there are a ton of names out there,,with bradley being one,
id like for someone to help compile a list of all the fighters that were forced to join top rank and,,or to sign a contract extension just to secure a fight with him in the first place,,
also,i would like the names of boxers who in genereal had to sign a contract extension with arum just to even get a fight period..,i know chavez jr couldnt even get a fight because arum is trying to force him into a slave contract with them
list:bradley,cotto,cloetty,mosley,marquez
Floyd just said over the weekend:
"Manny needs to focus on himself. He was thinking about getting a fight with me when he was about to fight Marquez, and he ended up getting knocked out"
That's Floyd himself pretty much unintentionally admitting that Pacquiao does in fact want the fight while Floyd is looking for ways out.
At the end of the day, what you have to ask is if the demands are (a) necessary and (b) reasonable.
The drug-testing wasn't necessary but it wasn't unreasonable either. Expecting Pacquiao to cut his long-time promoter out of his biggest fight is neither necessary nor reasonable.
Someone making unnecessary and unreasonable requests is someone who doesn't really want to reach a deal. But we've been through all this before.
But that's exactly what Floyd did when he fought Oscar. Floyd, Oscar, Cotto, all had the biggest payday of their career after leaving Top Rank. Of course it's not just about the promoters, there's also a lot of ego involved from both sides, but if Manny was a free agent I think the fight would be much more likely to happen.

i think hes got a point. it is not such a strange request for mayweather to say ok do this and this and this and this. but at the same time pacquiao isnt exactly rod salka on the negotiating table so this type of request = no, and you have to expect that. otherwise, you can just make up any **** (must fight not in trunks but in vs thongs and seriously who would say yes to that?) and then blame it on the other guy saying no and then it means he dont wanna fight. well if he really wanted the fight he would choose the pink ones right?
Bradley wasn't "forced" to sign Top Rank, he was in between promoters and Top Rank signed him.
Mosley fought with Top Rank for that one fight, and then as far as I know became a Golden Boy fighter immediately after.
You would have a good point if Mayweather was being forced to sign with Arum in order to get the biggest payday in boxing history by fighting Manny.
However, that is not the case. Forcing Manny to sign with Mayweather promotions is just another roadblock
Marquez and Mosley. Bradley was going to sign with Top Rank regardless of getting the Manny fight or not.
But there's a big difference with a promoter saying sign with us and get the manny fight and the fighter himself requesting a fighter sign with their promotion company.
its called pointing out duble standerds,
why is ok for arum to force people to join his comapny just to secure a fight with manny but not for floyd to do the same thing??when he does it its a devilish move,,
why?
So you like when Arum does this? You like Chavez's "slave contract"?
Come on bro, you just made a thread about how reasonable it was for Manny to join TMT to get a Floyd fight and now you're making a thread bashing Arum for making guys sign with top rank?
Also Chavez has been offered fight without a contract extension, in fact it was the same fight it's just for less money. The same way everyone does business. Have you ever bought a cell phone out of contract or bought one with a contract extension? It's the exact same principle, don't act like Bob made up this grand scheme to screw people
