I'm not into semantics bro. If you want to watch "tap and go" that's on you, but the majority of boxing fans aren't with it. They want to see exciting fights.
Just because somebody uses lateral movement doesnt mean he has to be boring great example for that is Spadofara he haved one of the cleanest styles ive ever seen
So if somebody is using his footwork to get out of the danger he is a runner?

If i had a gun pulled and you were in danger what would it be called that you do next if you had enough distance from me???
And these prospects get no favors by being matched up with tomato cans in their first 20-25 fights...
Look at the records of marlon starling, donald curry, mccallum, etc.. they all faced the occasional challenge working their way up.. compare that to broner, wilder, verdejo, etc.. these guys arent being tested in the least bit.. Look at dulorme,, never fought anyone til abregu, and got brutally exposed
Broner arguably lost to Fernando Quintero so I'd call that a test.
I agree in general though.
Who cares? the less runners the better, we're not trying to get bored stupid.
Would watch Broner any day of the week over a Bradley fight, a Lara fight or last night's fight.

Groves, Frampton, Galahad, Yafai...none of these guys are flat footed.
I think the American amateur system has stagnated over the last 20 years or so and the schooling they receive just isn't good enough, which is why in the US, a lot of young fighters are trying to pull the Floyd imitation but are too slow and their footwork is almost non-existent.

Is it just me or all the young prospects/stars are flat footed and dont have any type of footwork? Great examples imo are Broner and Errol Spence
