I dont understand why so many people are hating on Floyd's performance last night...I understand that there was alot of holding but they should hate on Bayless, Mayweather did what he was allowed to do and dominated the fight and proved that the first fight looked the way it did only because he wanted to give more of a entertaining fight and probably set up the easy rematch
The haters hate to see Floyd aka TBE on top of boxing. Floyd could beat GGG, Pac, Ward, Froch in his next 4 fights and the haters will still find something to hate Floyd about.
It's on both of them, but the fact remains that if they were allowed to fight inside it wouldn't have been a UD, Maidana hurt Floyd in this fight and Floyd really had no answer for him when they got into heated exchanges, it was a victory that was legit by rule but not commendable, Maidana didn't get outboxed he go outworked round by round and Floyd stayed on his bicycle more than usual.
I wish I could commend Floyd for beating Maidana soundly but he really didn't, sadly, it left me wanting more.
lol more? He shouldn't even have been in the ring with Maidana, he beat him clearly the first time in a fight that should never have happened. The best should fight the best, particularly with the power as an A-side.
To my mind, Floyd has only had two legitimate opponents since his comeback from retirement, Cotto and Canelo.
The Guerreros, Maidanas and Ortiz's are just a side-show. And before anyone brings up Pacquiao, his fights with Mosley, Rios and Algieri are a nonsense too.
Most people don't like the fact that he's better than their favorite fighter. The rest are just weirdly obsessed with hating him. It's actually kinda creepy.

Guys just don't like that man. It's mostly penis envy. I mean I respect him but am not in awe. It seems that anyone that respects Floyd is a ***** or whatever the new label is...
Yesterday I sat by and read the. Floyd vs. Maidana discussion thread as the fight was going on...IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE how guys were popping in just to curse Floyd out, or just say derogatory stuff. ( I mean some guys were discussing their displeasure with Bayless, or talking stylistically, or in general boxing etc)
But some guys were just popping in to say, F U Floyd!, I hate that Mother F,er., b1ch a$$ wife beater! And that's it...lol
Pac boy was one who sticks out..damn that dude must not have slept last night, he sounded like Floyd broke in his house, raped his dog, and stole his woman, it was nuts to hear such hate for any sports star.
You are in the minority if you aren'ty objective enough to accept that the only reason you had that perspective is because of the ref not allowing inside fighting, Floyd never fhought in the pocket, he looked good from the outside as I expected him too, but we didn't get the fight we could have gotten, a different ref that night makes a world of difference.
I have already pointed out that Kenny Bayless did a horrible job, but I'm not going to act like he was the game changer in that fight. How about you be objective and put some blame on Maidana who came in with a horrible gameplan and had the moronic idea that he could box with Mayweather for 12 rounds? Maidana's only good and definitive round was the fourth when he let his hands go and pinned Floyd on the ropes like he did in the first fight, but he just couldn't sustain that type of action...perhaps Garcia's "old school" methods weren't as good as having a pro like Ariza in the corner? Marcos Maidana really thought he could box with Mayweather in the center of the ring after having some success the first time, but he didn't anticipate that Floyd was going to make adjustments, something that Marcos was not capable of.
Because it's Floyd Mayweather, and he will be hated on regardless of what he does.
Anyways, I guess I'm in the minority that thought Floyd looked very sharp and strong last night. His defense was on point and he made Maidana look silly most of the fight. The only weak parts were Kenny Bayless doing a horrible ref job and Maidana looking like crap with his lackluster performance and dumb gameplan.

I strongly disagree.
This loss is on Team Maidana completely. Maidana had PLENTY, and I mean PLENTY of time and opportunities to turn the fight around in his favor. But he DID NOT. And why? Because by round 4 he was gassed. His tank was low. I saw him moving slower, punching slower, and he even began backing up from Floyd. And stayed in the center of the ring. Why? Because he didn't have the energy to aggressively press as much as he did the first fight.
His conditioning was worse this fight. Team Maidana only have themselves to blame.
Because it's Floyd Mayweather, and he will be hated on regardless of what he does.

hate? people should stop using that word, do you really think people hate floyd? the nazis hated, people just laugh at floyd's contradictions and his fans defending and repeating anything he says
I the only i had with the fight was that the ring was just insanely too big... I swear it was the biggest ring i have ever seen.. It would have been huge for heavyweights..
On tv i could see floyd spin off on side of the ropes and backpedal across the ring about 20 feet and the other side of the ring ropes werent even on the screen..
It looked like a 30 foot ring... Did anyone else notice it
It was really big. Looked abnormally large in person too.
I thought Mayweather had a great performance.
I thought Bayless was way too quick to stop the action...Veteran move from Mayweather though to repeatedly say Maidana was dirty and that he trusts the ref will keep it clean.
Also thought it was terrible strategy from Team Maidana. They should have just came out reckless but seemed like they had Maidana try to box for the first 3 rounds.
