i think robert is well aware of that. he isn't going to get his fighter get to that point. plus it wasn't like chino was dirty every minute of every round the way floyd and his f@ggotrons would make you believe. it was a rough fight but it wasn't mares-agbeko or pacquiao-sanchez level.
Agreed. He had like 2 low blows a few rounds apiece, the attempted knee which was inexcusable, and the tackle. That's 4 bad moments in a 12 round fight. Mayweather was using his forearm regularly and clamping down on Maidana's arms regularly. Both guys fought rough, and that helped make it a good fight. Too many guys accept Mayweather's bullsh*t, I'm glad Maidana didn't.
He'll do what Bayless allows. Hopefully the rules are the same for both fighters.
If he tries the same rough house tactics in this fight I think he'll end up with at the very least a few point deductions if not a full blown DQ.
Yup! And Floyd won't even get a warning for shoving his forearm and elbow in Maidanas face all night.
It's possible ....... but more possible is that he gets hard warnings or points deducted and gets off his game ......
Maidana got 2 points deducted against Karrass and guess who was the ref ..... Kenny Bayless!
Stop the presses, everybody! Noted Keith 'Hype Time' Thurman bumsniff, GayDub, needs to create a thread to let the entire forum know his detailed, multilayered analysis (all contained within a single sentence) for an upcoming bout that already has a dedicated thread for it.
Thank you, GayDub. I really don't know where this site would be without your significant contributions to it. Those years spent as Dan Birmingham's own personal rent boy have clearly paid off with regards to the knowledge that you've acquired.
Awww, how cute. Did I offend you at some time or another?

... Only if he previously floors Floyd... :)
Lol, as long as maidana doesn't dick punch Mayweather every two seconds he should be fine. But I expect Maidana to be extremely dirty this time around. But it ain't like Floyd doesn't elbow every opponent in the face. So I guess it's a pretty even playing field.
If maidana gets DQ'd it better because he went out like a G. Like giving floyd a stone cold stunner, DDT'ing kenny bayless, and then drop kicking roger and sr off the ring.

Not a chance. He did nothing in the 1st fight to have points deducted. It was a rough fight. And it's goin to be another rough fight. And if you look at Maidana's history, there all rough fights.

I kind of sense the same happening. He just might push a bit too hard this time around.
Hopefully, it doesn't get out of hand.
