Just rewatched Mayweather vs Cotto on Fox....

Maidana dominated broner, plain and simple. I'm not afraid to admit it either. But if Floyd dominated Cotto, then What Chino did to Broner has to be more like he destroyed him.

Cotto won 3-4 rounds. I thought Chino won anywhere from 5-7 depending on who you gave some of the close rounds to. Chino is more deserving of a rematch solely based on their performances against Floyd, but Cotto has looked wonderful since losing to Trout, so a rematch wouldn't be too bad

I don't agree with this. Maidana had Floyd on the ropes and threw all these wild punches while getting the people hyped but those punches weren't as effective as people tend to believe. In the middle of the ring Floyd picked him apart. I agree with this. I expect more from hardcore fans than to think all that craziness Chino was doing was making it competitive.

Meh. Mayweather had problems, sure, but I thought he won a good 9 rounds. 8 if generous to Cotto. Maidana won at least 4, and if we go extreme 6. He clearly gave Mayweather a harder fight, and the hardest he's had since Castillo. I don't agree with this. It is astounding to me to even think anyone would have that fight even through 8 rounds. I defend Mayweather a lot on this site, but I am also one to give his opponents credit where credit is due. Like Jose Luis Castillo. It may be your opinion that the fight was even at that point but it sounds so atrocious.

I think the majority of people scored it Mayweather 9-3 Cotto. With a few varying from Mayweather 10-2 Cotto or Mayweather 8-4 Cotto.

I also had it even after 8. Cotto doesn't get enough credit for that performance, nor does Pedro Diaz. Cotto was spent after the big effort in the 8th. Floyd was far more energetic in the 9th and he took the last four rounds. An argument could be made for Cotto in the 10th as Floyd did almost nothing in that round. But he was firmly in control of the fight at that point. Cotto was out of gas. Exactly this. I had it even after 8 and the 10th could have gone either way. I had Cotto winning the 3rd, 5th, 6th and 8th. I think Roach his him in better shape and will have a better gameplan than Diaz, I would still have to favor Mayweather though.
