Of course. Fight 18 times a year and have no promotion! What a great way to earn money! Do you mind if I steal this incredible idea and pitch it to the higher-ups? Maybe not 18 times a year but 4 or 5. If the fighter stays in the public eyes more often then they'll be less likely to forget them. Therefore less money would be needed for promotion and the fighter would make more.

Honestly if boxers cared all that much about making more money they could easily fight more then twice a year. That way they can make more money and beat all the best fighters at the same time.
