They're virtually the same height/reach and both come in weighing 157 (give or take a pound).
Broners build is more stocky like bradley. Matthysse isn't nearly as cut up but I'm guessing his bone mass is why he makes the same 140 lbs with the same height as broner but a lot less muscle mass
Could also explain lucas' power (more bone density)
There will be a big size difference between the two. I would favor Broner. He could use movement like he did last night and possibly eek out a W, but I'd be rooting for Matthysse all the way. He could do some real good body work and possibly stop Broner late.

I wouldn't say Broner would have the ability to walk Matthysse down. Check it, Broner has trouble fighting backwards. Hard press he folds.
Let's just focus on a Garcia rematch.

I don't think Broner has the stamina to use movement for any longevity of time

I wouldn't be surprised if Broner decides to avoid this fight.
He's called him out twice already, he clearly wants the fight. There's no way he avoids it
People are doing the same thing they did with Danny. Of course they would. Lucas has, BAR NONE, the worst fans on this site. If he takes an L, they will all disappear...again.
They never disappeared in the first place you idiot.
At this point, I don't think Broner is a tune up for anyone. That's a huge overstatement

This would be the equivalent of a tune up fight for Matthysse. If Taylor could manage to make Broner back up throughout the entire fight and the opposite didn't happen, how much more would a guy like Matthysse? This is a mismatch, but I still would like it to see it, and Broner could prove me wrong.

also, styles make fights
broner seems to be comfortable with guys who fight at mid-range and has more trouble with guys who push him to the ropes and fight inside, which doesn't let broner get any snap on his shots
lucas can fight inside (he showed that vs Molina), and according to MA on the boxing coalition who lives in argentina, Martin Coggi is trying to get Lucas to fight more on the inside
lucas naturally is a mid-range fighter who looks for openings to land counter shots and will open up to force his opponent to throw. Broner is a natural counter puncher, so it could force Lucas to be more offensive than he would normally want to be, believe it or not, he doesn't throw 100 punches a around like NSB would want you to think
taylor had success when he bullied broner up close, which isn't how Lucas fights. Lucas likes to stand at that mid-range and throw straight shots, which would give Broner opportunities to counter
If Lucas brings his inside game from round 1, I think he wins fairly easily but he can't let Broner dictate his own game
Lots of broner hate here causing people not to think objectively, he's a good fighter
I disagree slightly. I think Broner is actually best on the sinside. He's a better inside pressure fighter than he is a mid range counter puncher. His main issues are fighting on the back foot, and laying on the ropes in a defensive position. He rarely gets hit really cleanly but he NEVER counters off the ropes so you can just stack up rounds simply getting him there

Broner looks good in eye-catching spurts, his speed could cause Lucas problems.
I think he would be easily pushed back against the ropes by Lucas though, and his lack of defense/foot work would be his downfall against a puncher like Lucas.
A Lucas win for sure.
Yeah, Broner is too easily bullied. The fact that Broner's lateral movement is subpar, you would think he'd let off combos a lot more and flick that jab. That would do a lot more neutralizing of his oppositions offense than just standing on the ropes and shaking his head when he gets hit

Agree with the bolded. And your're absolutely correct. When Broner is on his back foot, he's much less effective than when he's standing still or coming forward, which is weird because he's a good counter puncher
