There is no chance of this happening on May 5. Mayweather will be fighting that day. HBO wouldn't dare consider competing against Mayweather in a dual PPV contest. Cotto/Canelo will take place in Jun or July 2015. On another note, Steve Kim doesn't know a damn thing. He is making this s..t up based on the rumors and claims that have already been put out. I don't think Cotto has any intention of fighting GGG because it is a high risk/low reward fight. The whole card will most likely cost less than Mayweather. Both would take a hit, Showtime loses out more

Miguel Cotto, The Lineal Champion at 160, needs a tune up fight after 6 months since defeating Martinez handledly, with Martinez not being able to land a scratch on him, then want to have a big money fight with Canelo early next year and only after all of that the Lineal Champ will fight his mandatory? Lmao! Why don't Cotto fight Golovkin this December? I'm sure Golovkin would be up for it if he beats Rubio. Cotto should just drop the belt.

I'm a fan of Cotto as well but let's be honest, he's never fighting GGG...Canelo on the other hand has shown he's willing to get in there with anyone so far. I'd root for Canelo vs Cotto just for the possibility of Canelo vs GGG. I think Cotto is ballsy enough to fight GGG, but it's a little late in the game to take a fight that can potentially jeopardize his chances at a Money rematch or crack at Alvarez. Cotto doesn't belong at 160 to begin with, but I'm with you. If nothing else, this fight is good enough for the possibility of Canelo-GGG happening.

Loeffler is stating the obvious in an attempt to make GGG look like a player in the Cotto/Alvarez sweepstakes. I doubt if anyone from either Cotto or Alvarez's camp have even bothered to say hello to Loeffler. If it's Kirkland, Canelo has a hard fight ahead of him. But thats the way it should be. Cotto has it a bit easier with the other Irish guy Andy LEE. It's important to Canelo to win every fight. Cotto will never agree to fight GGG in my opinion.

I really don't care who wins, cause I like both guys. I just want to see it cause it will be a hell of a fight. If it does go down on Cinco de Mayo weekend, Floyd is SOL. I doubt he goes head to head with a Canelo / Cotto card, especially with the weak pool of opponents he has left. I guess Canelo was really serious about taking those dates back.
