Seriously, there aren't many. Almost every fighter I've been a fan of is constantly making me have to defend the bullsh*t they're involved with.
Ward was my favorite, I don't have to explain how he lost me, it's obvious.
Pac is obvious, too. *cough*Margarito, Mosley, Marquez 3*cough*
Bradley ducked Khan and acted like an idiot after the Pac robbery. Still a fan, but ugh.
Santa Cruz out-Salkaing Danny Garcia.
Gamboa ducked Rios and disappeared.
Mikey Garcia is pulling a Ward.
Carl Froch, Lucas Matthysse, and Sergey Kovalev are the only guys I feel good being a fan of. And I'm sure Kovalev's team will probably start playing the "he doesn't make financial sense doe" crap if he beats Hopkins and I'll have to stomach some crap fight taking place instead of one I want to watch.
What fighters are there you actually feel good being a fan of?
for years we fought with the masses about how great our dude is...NOW it's out time!!!....it feels REAL good to be a BHop fan right now....I know the loyal "Executuoners" aka "The Alien Nation" feels the same way....after he beats Frankenstein I honestly think he has to be top 5 P4P....after he beats Stevenson....oh man, the debates about the top spot will be off the charts!! :lol1:
If Hopkins beats Kovalev, I agree. Hes top 5 P4P

No doubt it's a great time to be a Hopkins fan. I can't stand the man and even I can't hate on him right now. He's making the rest of the sport look like b*tches.
Tricky to say.
Hopkins is one of my favourites
Rigo (but I have to keep defending his "boring" style)
Toney
Marquez (even when people claim he's on steroids)
Cotto
Hearns
Matthyse
Crawford

It's gon be good. IF hopkins beats kovalev, and I think he will, the forum will be in uproar. Like you say the debates have kind of started but not on the mass scale it will be around late October/early November.

im proud of being an oscar valdez fan. dude is tough as nails has the skills to be great. im excited about his future. Canelo and JMM for ovious reasons
Obviously my favorite, Juan Manuel Marquez. Also:
Cotto
Ward (anybody says Ward didn't dominate Froch needs to go back and look at Froch's confused, battered and frustrated face about half way into the fight. And with one good hand, no less).
B hop
Froch
Golovkin
Manny
Bradley
Provodnihkov
Thurman
Rigo
Chavez Jr
Loma
Canelo
Kirkland
Floyd
Kovalev
Sure I'm forgetting somebody and sure don't I root for one over the other and get pissed at this one and that one here or there, but all these guys and more have carved themselves out a spot in a tough business and how could I not be proud to be called fan?
Kind of a silly question to pose in a place like this after all, innit?
Linares lomachenko Salido Algieri maidana froch cotto golovkin Hopkins kovalev George groves yamanaka PAC n Floyd IMO all of these and many many unnamed Real easy to be fans of personally it is when people get overly emotional about certain aspects of boxing. For example salka and Garcia that was obviously a tune up fight meant to be a showcase and a confidence booster yet people were up in arms about it when it was A and Unsanctioned fight and B on regular show time there was never any inclination by any parties involved that made this fight out to
Be a high quality fight it was simply what it was a tune up. Boxers have done it forever even the atgs people love to bring up
Froch cause he's always fighting the best and usually winning in exiting fights. Same applies to Roman Gonzalez and JF Estrada. Golovkin and Kovalev usually don't disappoint and I'll still say Provodnikov unless he loses again.
Perhaps New England is upset that Froch happens to be one of the most beloved & respected fighters in the game, and his hero Ward is a complete laughing stock?
lol
Don't ever call another fighter "cowardly" for not moving up in weight while Andre Ward vehemently refuses to himself
#doublestandards
Nope, the guy who weighs 175 or less on fight night is a coward not to move up to 175. Not the guy who said he wants to eventually fight at heavyweight.
froch is blatantly ducking ward, less blatantly, but still blatantly ducking golovkin.
he's also ducking kovelchuck.
The butthurt is strong with this one today. :bottle::bottle::bottle:
froch is on record with some magazine saying that golovkin punches too hard, and that he's avoiding him. i'm paraphrasing, but that's the gist of it.
he's also flat out said that he has no interest in the ward fight.
as for 175, froch is too cowardly to move up in weight and end his career on his back from the kovelpoop power.

:lol1:
you say that loud and proud.
He did though. Froch shipped far more punishment in those 9 rounds than he did in 12 against Pauper 'Dre.
Ward is not a dangerous fight.
