Good fight. Don't understand why people are hating on this match-up. It's better than the last dud Ward fought that's for sure. Going into the deep end in Parken or Boxen with 15-30k fans screaming for his guts, fair non-joakland refs - It will be an interesting prospect. Kessler is not as 'shot' as many people are claiming he is, he's just not as good as he was in '06-'08. He can give Ward a good fight, and you know he still has that 1 punch KO power. If that lands on Ward's chin, it's lights out. Nothing funny or a joke about Oakland. Well maybe the Raiders but that's another topic on another board. European ref are the worst of all time. How many times a has a biased ref stopped a Calzahge fight after a flurry of slaps. That just one fighter. I could keep going.

It will be a nice tuneup bout for Andre as he waits for better foes to grow some balls and step in the ring with him.

I find it really hard to believe that Ward would fight in Denmark. I'll believe it when I see it.

No I put them in there because it was an idiotic comment. Kessler is far and away still one of the best SMWs on the planet, if he's not a good matchup, then which SMW is? Ward could move up? That seems like logical to me, instead of fighting his own leftovers.

You want Kessler to get seriously hurt? Absolutely not. I think going down to 160 would be foolish.

At least Ward is getting in 1 fight this year. He needs to fight 3 times next year though. Since 1 fight per year since 2012 is really bad.

For those calling for Ward/GGG, I don't think that's a good fight stylistically for Golovkin at all. He really should stay away from Ward. I'd picture a lop-sided UD for Ward. Just too technical for GGG. Just like what happened when he fought Carl Froch. Froch didn't even win a round. At this point, I think a Kessler rematch in Denmark makes more sense than a Froch rematch. At least Kessler could argue about Ward fighting dirty. Froch just got schooled. (No matter what the Limeys have to say.)

I've said that I wasn't keen on Kessler's return, but since he chose to, which is his choice, I would have preferred the following fights in priority: GGG at 168 Froch Ward in Denmark GGG at 160. I think it's still possible that we get Kessler-GGG next instead of Ward so it's not out of the question that Ward stays shelved. You want Kessler to get seriously hurt?
