With all the talk about Salka-Garcia, there's a decent card on NBCSN tonight at 8pm going unnoticed. I haven't saw a thread on it so I'll bump this when it starts
3 televised fights:
Vyacheslav Glazkov - Derric Rossy
Robert Berridge - Vasily Lephikin
Joseph Parker - Keith Thompson
I wish Parker was matched with a better fighter but Berridge has a decent record (24-1) and Lephkin is 15-0. Could be entertaining
I don't. He's slow, immobile and lacks hw power. I respect the guy as a journeyman but that's all he is. Watching the fight, Rossy was outworking Glazkov for many of the rounds but he took his foot off the gas pedal and let him win the last two rounds. With Glazkov the showcase fighter, he should have known that he'd have to go over and beyond to win the decision.
Eh. I don't want to see him headlining any card on HBO but I think he would be a stiff test for any up and coming HW prospect, or contender needing a stay busy fight.
I've saw Rossy fight and this is actually the best I've ever seen him- as you say he gassed out late and was lunging in and looked sloppy in the later rounds.
I had it a draw (some very close rounds and tough to score) but that 98-92 scorecard was ridiculous
I want to see more of Rossy. I was very impressed with him... he is a BIG guy and he just threw over 700 punches! Rossy would be a good test for ANY up and coming HW and contender

Well...I guess he didn't catch the L after all. Is it possible for him to move down to CW? He just seemed so small compared to Rossy. Dude has the body of a LHW.
Glazkov is only 5'10. I think. He would be a much better CW, IMO

I guess I'm so used to seeing fat and out of shape heavies that when a physically fit boxer comes along, there's something wrong with him lol

Overall, it was a very solid card and I leave very, very impressed with Joseph Parker and Vasily Lephikin. Both guys have the goods and I can't wait to see them step up and progress their careers :boxing:
well glazkov is only gonna get better, but to be honest i dont see much room for improvement, i dont see anything special about him this is the type of fighter wlad eats for breakfast every 6 months
I agree. He will never be a champion, IMO. But to his credit, he has fought good opposition for 18 fights in his career
Feel bad for Rossy right now listening to his interview :( but he's spitting the truth
Two good scorecards but 98-92 card was trash. This fight and the Scott fight are why I can't believe in Glaskov. He's just a decent contender imo.
Yeah 98-92 was TERRIBLE. The other cards were okay.
Glazkov needs to throw more combos. Dude throws one punch at at time
He only has 18 fights so he has plenty of time to adjust but he will never be a champion, IMO. Decent fighter, but nothing special thus far in the pros.
To his credit, in 18 fights he has fought better opposition then other HW contenders like Wilder so he deserves his shot at some other contenders

Ugh. 98-92.... That's BS man WTF. I feel terrible for Rossy :(
Glazkov needs to throw more combos and stop punching in spurts. JDJ needs to get him to open up more and the way he's fighting now he's going to continue to struggle.
It's easy to forget he only has 18 fights so he has plenty of time to adjust
Very, very tough to score. Glazkov finished very strongly and arguably had his best round of the fight in the 12th. Rossy was so active throughout, I can't believe he threw 700 punches. RESPECT to Rossy!
5-5 IMO
