Time to make it happen

It won't happen as long as caribe promotions insists to part of the deal. It was a deal for awesome money to. If cAribe wasn't fokin around this would've been official a week ago smh
Wonder if Jay-Z will be a better promoter than 50 Cent. Being a fighter's promoter won't be the same as being partial owner of a sports team. Hopefully, Jay has done adequate research and has capable people supporting that venture.
No doubt, 50 came in trying to bully everybody and burned very important bridges before he even started which is part of the reason why he failed. He thought this would be extremely easy cause he had the money and didn't want to pay his dues. Jay-Z, a more savvy and level headed businessman/entrepreneur won't make those dumb mistakes IMO. Well, that's if this is even true to begin with.

If rigo wants to be successful in North America he should learn to speak English. In various other sports the athletes try and learn it even though how much they make is based on statistics. Any boxer attempting to be successful in North America is only hurting themselves by not being able to conduct interviews in English.
Yup, he needs to learn English regardless, he chose to live in this country and flee communist Cuba, he is not going back to Cuba so if he plans on living here for the rest of his life he should at least learn the language.
even that Japanese boxer who lived in Mexico for 4 years learned Spanish, Tomoki Kaneda.

He's mentioned Floyd and PAC before in songs
That's not saying much, what rapper doesn't mention those two? Makes him sound like a 'new' fan. Jay Z referenced Roy Jones Jr in a 2000 song, 'You, Me, Him and Her' from his Dynasty Roc La Familia album. Jay has also mentioned Tyson in several songs, I think 3 songs.
Jay-z is the face, the Jews are the ones fronting the money and pulling the strings.Same **** with everyone saying jay z owned the nets....wrong he had less than 1 percent stake in the team.
"1 percent of a billion is more than ***** ever seen"
He owned 1 percet but do you see how influential he was?

No one that can read thought he owned the nets. He owned a share of the Nets, which he recently sold.
I don't think so..Jay Z and his agent company has delivered for his clients, unlike 50 Cent. Jay Z represents Robinson Cano (MLB) and lead him to a 10 year $240 million dollar contract with the Mariners.
He recently sold his Brooklyn Nets share in order to become an agent in the NBA and he wants to be a MLB agent first.
It certainly wouldn't hurt if you are represented by Jay Z, he seems to be a sports oriented guy. With his money, he could bring some boxers in need of attention what they crave, which is the spotlight.
50 and Jay Z are not comparable at all, we already know Jay Z can deliver, he already has experiencing managing athletes. With 50, well we just Andre Dirrell leave him and while he was with him he fought like once or twice in 3 years on ESPN.Jay-z is the face, the Jews are the ones fronting the money and pulling the strings.Same **** with everyone saying jay z owned the nets....wrong he had less than 1 percent stake in the team.
Ask those guys that are with Jay Z how dumb it was to pair up with him.
I'll eat humble pie when he works wonders for Rigondeaux's career
Until that unlikely event I'll stick with being cynical as he'll about it and I think I'm bang right
Great news
A famous pop "rapper" managing a top former olympic champion Cuban
Sounds perfect, can't fail...
If Rigo goes for this he must be a lot dumber than I'd ever have thought

Jay Z is worth more than half a billion US...
i don't think he's doing it for fun. i don't think he's doing it for money, either. guillermo rigondeaux? the only upside is that you don't have to pay him all that much. you've got to promote the hell out of that guy, or get popular opponents. his style can get boring, even when he's knocking out overmatched opponents.
this might just be publicity. i'm dissapointed if that's the case. i'm still very intrigued. jay z is not a dumb guy, and he knows all of the right people i'm sure.
Mostly in music and fashion though, two industries he could basically walk into because he's a famous rapper. As 50 cent found out, being a boxing promoter is a whole different thing.
Both Jay z and 50 cent and talentless twerps of musicians who only know how to be popular not be good, which is a totally different thing
That ain't gonna work in the boxing as 50 showed

far from true.
jigga owns dozens of clubs in the states and is looking to expand worldwide, he invested in cosmetics, real estate and of course the barclays centre, he is part owner in the brooklyn nets and owns a brand of liquor.
all of these ventures turned profit except his stake in the brooklyn nets, which he is presumably involved in for sentimental reasons as much as financial.
more importantly like i have previously stated on this very page he isnt looking to be a promoter. rigo would be signed to roc nation sports, a management group that already includes basketball players, baseball players and the likes in addition to now potentially a fighter.
jay z would be managing rigo and building his brand outside of the ring, NOT his promoter.
rigondeaux vs lomachenko has this massachusetts son frothing from the mouth.
hell, i'd like to see rigondeaux and gamboa @ 130 lbs.
rigondeaux is not getting any younger.
he and his team of lawyers, agents, and flunkies, got robinson cano a huge deal. 240 million is a lot of dough. a quarter billion dollar contract is not the kiddie pool.
i'm interested to see how this goes, and if Jay z can get him on the networks. if he gets rigondeaux back on showtime or hbo, i'll be impressed. i'm not sure if he really thinks he can make money with rigondeaux.
i hope he's not just looking to get him on espn. that would be a publicity stunt. those fights make very little money.
