I have listed some undefeated fighters, you can vote on several options. Whose undefeated record will go first?
I excluded heavyweights, I also excluded Kell Brook and Shawn Porter since they're going to fight soon. No room for Santa Cruz and Roman Gonzalez.
This may sound strange but there's a chance ward could lose his soon given how inactive he has been. He'll still be in shape but there's a small chance he's just too rusty.
Kovalev is a chance
Quillin should have lost his a while back
Garcia will probably lose his at 147
I see everybody on that list, besides Rigo, Ward and Floyd, losing their 0 in the next year or two. GGG, I'm not sure, it all depends if he moves up to 168 or not.
Hardly anyone is fighting real competition right now so very few are in threat of losing the '0'. 2013 is a tune-up year for most it seems.
Time travel must be pretty cool. I'd love to go back and have one moe night with Tricia and those Tig ol bitties
I'd say Kovalev. Most of those others don't have anything scheduled or in Garcia and Thurman's case are fighting Al Haymon special bums of the week.
Floyd won't fight Manny so he's not gonna lose. Rigo won't lose for a long time. Ward won't be fighting anytime soon. Nobody at 160 is coming close to GGG.
Quilled would be the other guy I guess but who knows who he's gonna fight.
Even if Floyd fougt manny he'd still keep his 0
I think Crawford at 140, as he's not making 135 anymore, and at 140 Postol, Matthysse, heck even Broner beats him.
He showed a vulnerability against a guy who was a career SFW, and he hurt him, so imagine a fully fledged 140 pounder connecting on him...
Guillermo Rigondeaux - wont lose unless he fights way past his prime, either way it wont happen any time soon.
Floyd Mayweather - is on the decline and may well lose at some point, but i still doubt it. he too will probably retire undefeated.
Keith Thurman - will lose soon, 2-3 fights tops. he is flawed in a stacked division and looking to fight all the best guys, that 0 wont last.
Gennady Golovkin - will lose if he moves up to fight ward. if he does the whole hagler thing at MW he wont lose any time soon, he is no floyd or RealGodDoe so someone might come along at some point and beat him at 160 even at his peak. but its still unlikely and wont be any time soon.
Sergey Kovalev - soon. i think he gets past hopkins but he will not stay undefeated for long, much too flawed a fighter. he is so aggressive but he doesnt have the subtle defensive skills GGG has or the chin, he will lose within 3 fights.
Terence Crawford - not too soon not too long.
Mikey Garcia - no time soon.
Andre Ward - lose? im not sure he will even fight. even if he was active i dont think he would lose any time soon. ward might retire undefeated, not because he is that great but because he might retire at any time.
Peter Quillin - next fight
Danny Garcia - as soon as he fights a top WW, i like danny but he cant hang with the very best p4p and plenty of them are at 147.
Some other undefeated fighters just for discussion:
Tyson Fury
Bryant Jennings
Deontay Wilder
Roman Gonzalez
Kell Brook
Carl Frampton
Shawn Porter
Leo Santa Cruz
Kubrat Pulev
Demetrius Andrade
Chris Algieri
Takashi Uchiyama
Nicholas Walters
Evgeny Gradovich
Scott Quigg
Omar Figueroa
Out of these I would say Pulev, Frampton, Brook and Algieri could lose their 0 in their next fight.
Yeah you are right. Just when I posted this I realized a lot of these fighters are protected or inactive.
