He also said Ronda is the biggest Draw in PPV at the moment.
"I think the UFC has the biggest draw in PPV at the moment: Ronda Rousey."
Although Heyman could not deny that Floyd Mayweather was a bigger draw "on a one-off basis", he did make an interesting point regarding their respective corporate perception.
"Rousey brings a lot of things to the table that Mayweather does not. She is new to the general media. She is very sponsorable. Floyd Mayweather is not very sponsorable. He is always in trouble with the law. He is always in some sort of a scandal, always in some sort of trouble. It is not really the type of thing that NIKE really wants to sponsor."
"Ronda Rousey is ridiculously sponsorable. Networks can build reality shows around her. She is at the top of her game and not satisfied with that yet. We haven't seen the best of Ronda Rousey yet, and I said this: everybody in the PPV business is looking for the next Mike Tyson.
"The UFC has her - her name is Ronda Rousey."
Floyd's sponsorship situation is so bad that instead of getting paid, or even doing free sponsoring, he has to take money from his own pocket and pay for it - just like he did to have his poster placed on the MGM building year-round. In sponsorship money he'd actually be in the negative.
but yet there are no boxers today that wouldn't trade their income for Floyd's.
The reasons for Ronda Rousey being sponsorable are that she's not bad looking, and she has PT&A. Her fighting skills play a small role, for if she were ugly, we'd never see her in any commercials at all.
Ronda's apex will likely be next year. She will fight the chick that tested positive for PED's, To hype that fight she will pose nude in playboy, the ESPN body issue or maybe do the SI swimsuit edition or Maxim. When her UFC career dies she'll do pro wrestling then end up doing p0rn like Chyna.
She will definitely make some money.

Its really disturbing when Floyd lovers feel the need to not talk about any of the points brought up but to instead blindly defend him off of nothing.
You said it, Floyd is all about the money but Nike aren't all about woman beating and racist antics just think at how many of these poor guys that worked so damn ****ing hard as black athletes only to have Floyd come along and blow it all out of proportion and stir this racist pot up.
Floyd is bad for boxing if anything.
Yep you said it 100% the truth.
Why would Nike want to have a woman beater, racist, cry baby and a man who is constantly at every negative story behind their sponsor?
Its just stupid there ain't no way would they do it.
She will likely fight PPV twice to three times a year and the cards they put on are quite serious, they're of top quality in MMA... But listen Ronda is fairly young and as the sport evolves more money will come into it just like everything else and who is to say Ronda wont eventually make an equal amount or not more than Mayweather when her career is all said and done.
Lets pretend you are being serious.

UFC 170, headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Sara McMann, is estimated at doing 340,000 buys. That's down from Rousey's first main event, one year earlier, with Liz Carmouche. But the drop is hardly unexpected.
Not a good trend if she is going to pass Floyd. Maybe Paul is wrong?
This is all not to say that Floyd is not the highest paid athlete. I mean in terms of getting paid just for being an athlete he is the highest paid.
But I will bet my home that there are plenty of athletes who bring in a lot more money yearly then he does from other ventures.
And there is no way any of these UFC guys can even touch Floyd, with all the sponsorship in the world they can't make as much as he does. No way.
what makes you think that?
just because forbes said it?? the greatest footballer of all time messi recently nearly got done for not declaring income
the classification of income is also a way for football players to not declare their image rights which is what floyd is missing out on
just to make you aware floyd is not the highest paid
david beckham, during his time at real madrid, forget his sponsors and his insane salary, he has a company, these superstar sport stars all have it, any image rights and overseas sponsor deals go through that company, so forbes do not declare that as their personal income
he was at real madrid for 4 years, in his contract he received 50 percent of all merchandising sales that was in his name (so shirt sales and boots)
real madrid made around 400m dollars off his name alone, the actual figure amounted to around 250 million sterling at the time
beckham made 100m dollars a year from merchandises through his company, then add in his personal income salary and european based sponsors, it was far more than floyd
my point is simple, floyd is missing out on loads
guys like messi and ronaldo earn more than floyd, they just funnel the money through their company, these guy earn like 50-60m dollars per year from merchandising , then add their sponsors and insane salary, its over a 100 million easily
if floyd was not a duche, he would be doubling what he earns in image rights
+1
Forbes and all these other online resources are utter ****e for income figures.
There are so many ways to channel and attain wealth without actually declaring anything.
Some of the Forbes stuff is laughable, its not even ballpark close at times. Its like a tabloid.
They basically make their calculations based on whatever other information they can find online about that person, like what kind of contract they signed for how much and what their stock in a company is and how much that stock is worth.
Athletes who own companies and have tons of property and have other business ventures that they do not disclose Forbes would never know about.
You might have a 100m dollar business, but on paper you might not have earned anything from that company that year, but you could cash out at any time.
It's like crooked politicians. They live in 50m$ homes yet they are "owned" by a 3rd party off shore company in Cyprus whose owner is another 3rd party 6 degrees removed individual whose address is a PO box in Lichtenstein and the companies entire portfolio includes that 50m dollar home and a 7 series.
It's really disturbing when a users hatrad for Floyd supersedes their love for boxing.
Its really disturbing when Floyd lovers feel the need to not talk about any of the points brought up but to instead blindly defend him off of nothing.
You thought Floyd chose to make less money?
That was more a problem of how you think rather than being misinformed.
You said it, Floyd is all about the money but Nike aren't all about woman beating and racist antics just think at how many of these poor guys that worked so damn ****ing hard as black athletes only to have Floyd come along and blow it all out of proportion and stir this racist pot up.

To be fair about the sponsorship thing hes right. Let not lie and say Mayweather is a respectable responsible person that a Huge sponsor like NIKE will have faith sponsoring.
Now about the PPV numbers who knows. doesnt she fight like every 2 months on PPV? 300K sales/PPV x 6 that 1.8 million buys a year. But who knows I dont know the actual times she fights on ppv a year I just know it seems like alot.
Yep you said it 100% the truth.

I am sure you do, you can't think for yourself, that has been proven several times already. None of you people can.
The content of your posts leads all of us to conclude you are retarded.
Haha the butthurt Flomos are in full swing!
Ronda Rousey is a bigger draw and she'd kick Floyds ass in a MMA contest.
she's not a bigger draw. the UFC doesn't sell much ppv any more. t hey make their money by putting on ppv shows all the time. they're also not very well paid, the fighters. floyd mayweather made more in the canelo fight than all of the top 10 paid UFC fighters combined over the course of their careers. those guys make a lot of their money in winning and knockout bonuses, sponsorships, etc. the purses are pretty small.
And also let's consider he was a literal maniac when he came out.
before my time, when tyson was coming up, but yes. we should definitely consider it :lol1:
there's no way that guy knows anything about tyson's past or his prime. i've never seen tyson being violent with a woman or doing drugs with my own eyes, but there's so much smoke that there has to be fire.
"floyd's problems with the law are an issue."
"we are looking for the next mike tyson"
huh?
mike tyson did several years in prison for f#cking rape...
rousey is more sponsorable than mayweather. with that, i agree. i'm not sure i agree with "sponsorable" being a real word, doe.
And also let's consider he was a literal maniac when he came out.
no I don't. I think you are retarded.
