What is supposed to be good about Porter?

What did Watt score it? 116-112 Porter? That sounds about right for him. 10-10 Rd 12 I think so 115-114

I did. I don't know, I got the feeling Porter was looking past Brook and after seeing them at the weigh in I could see how much bigger Kell was, I thought it was spelling trouble for Porter. Also, Porter didn't seem to hurt brook at all. Porter was hurt several times and his face was a mess. Honestly, don't know what Jim Watt has been smoking - but he needs to be replaced. Brook really made a fan. Also, particularly good news on the stamina front given how physically demanding a fight with Porter is. Porter though, damn. I knew he was crude and wild before, but what the fúck? He's just trying to win on pure energy and aggressiveness. He's sloppy as can be.

he struggled markedly less than mayweather did against maidana. if you deny that you are biased. Well I had Ward-Bika closer than I did Mayweather-Maidana. Regardless, both struggled.

when i rank a fighter historically, i look at his resume and his ability, with a stronger emphasis on resume. this is actually much less subjective than it is to rank a fighter p4p. p4p lists are completely abstract, unless fighters have common opponents or have fought each other. when i rank fighters p4p, i look much more heavily at his ability. i want to know who the best fighter on the planet is, not whose resume looks the best. that's what a pound for pound list is. you're projecting with the p4p list. these fighters cannot fight, yet we compare them anyway. when i rank a fighter p4p, i'm comparing them as if they were the same size, based on his ability and his accomplishments. ward hit froch, kessler, so hard the brits forget all about it. "our carl is a great fighter andre ward, the guy who shut him out, sucks doe!" froch won't even fight andre ward. let's just make sure that's understood by everybody in the thread. froch won't even fight ward. you guys drop andre ward from your list quickly because you don't like him for what he's done to your heroes. he fought a top 10 fighter in november, and shut him out. every other major ranking body has him in their top 5. it is what it is, man. i don't have any bias like that. if ward doesn't have a fight by november, regardless of whether or not a fight is scheduled, i'll remove him. when he whips ass, as long as it's not against ron salka, i'll probably put him back to the top of the list if he looks great. i'm not denying Ward is a great fighter. I think he could step up to light heavy and cruiser and become champion if he wanted to. He's that good. But I still fail to understand how you can jump Ward ahead of Mayweather when he's only had 1 easy fight in two years and Mayweather fought extremely well against Canelo and then had a tough fight with another champion in his division. Would Floyd still have been your #1 had he fought someone like Luiz Collazo and looked like a million dollars? I just can't see how you can increase Ward's standing based on nothing but Floyd had a tough fight. It's silly.

and finally, on hopkins, he belongs nowhere near the top 5 p4p. he wouldn't make my top 10, either.

additionally, i still think mayweather beats thurman, because he's more of a boxer. maybe thurman hits him with something big, and floyd can't adjust, but i tend to doubt it. also, i think maywetaher beats pacquiao, still, and relatively easily. he'd beat pacquiao easier than he beat maidana. bad, bad style. shawn porter is not the only measurement by which i create a p4p list. porter loses to more WW than floyd, given what i've told you.
