would any of you classify algieri as a "SLICK" fighter? Yes...I think he is better than people give him credit for. I'd like to see what he can do against a World Champion without getting knocked down in the first round. I think the 9 to 1 odds are a gamblers dream. Guys like Maidana always come off second best in sparring. In the real fight is where they shine. Yea, not to mention that in sparring people are working on specific things and one fighter is not going 100%, if it's a gym war you can tell from the get go. You are there to train not to get hurt.

I like algieri's skill set. He's the type of guy that you will never look good against winning or losing because of his movement. He is also big for a JWW. His lack of power seems to be his major flaw but like I said his overall his skillset is not bad. And I like that he was still able to keep it together and follow his gameplan after that disastrous 1st round against a beast like prov. Shows me he isn't a front runner.
