The Wlad getting KO's excuse is redundant in that he makes you cry and wish you had something else to watch before he gets to it. Some of his fights I don't even consider boxing; holding and hitting, leaning, pushing. Things that other fighters get warned for and possibly points deducted but not Wlad. Just compare Floyd - Maidana with Wlad - Povetkin and there's your answer.
Mayweather had an opponent who threw 4 times as many punches as Wlads and Floyd threw the same number of punches as Wladimir? If you can't throw more punches than a man twice your size who's known more for holding than hitting you're not exciting either.
I'm sure if Floyd fought crap opposition, he would have more knockouts too.
Who has Wlad ever knocked out that was any good?
most fighters are taken the distance against elite comp. wlad has knocked out descent to good fighters tho in chambers,,byrd,,brock,,,peter..nccline,,mercer etc. many of those fighters were also considered durable before wlad dropped the hammer on them
Floyd all day.
Wladimir is so boring to watch it's unreal. Foul after foul against usually sub-par opponents.
Floyd has skills and generally shows them against top opponents.
the only fight where wlad fouled exescively was the povetkin fight and he has big power whereas floys is obviously more skillful but cant crack an egg as far as power goes. guess it depends on your preference but I like the power punchers so im a little partial towrds wlad on this one
wlad for me as he has lights out power and there's always that bit of fear of whats going to happen if he gets hit on the chin altho nobody seems to get very close these days
Wlad is to blame for 99/100 clinches he engages in. Which means pretty much once every fight someone might hold Wlad out of pure exhaustion from being held and leaned on 99 times.
Sorry man, I simply disagree. Wlad doesn't initiate the majority of the clinches he finds himself in.
Fighters get frustrated with him and just end up hugging him, and when he pushes them refs tell him to stop pushing.
Or they get on the inside and don't bother to throw ****, so sure he'll lean on them and take their legs away.
Why don't his opponents attempt to prevent a clinch if as you say he is initiating them all the time. Where is the inside work? Why don't they step back or push away?
What is true is that majority of the time a clinch happens out of mutual consent. Or when a guy gets hurt and tries to grab on for his life, but that usually triggers his opponent to try to squirm away and trying his best to finish the guy off.
But what happens in 99% of clinches involving Wlad?
The opponent just stands there just as willing to hug it out as Wlad. Yet Wlad is to blame.
Problem is, guys can't run from Wlad because they'll just eat his jabs or he will cut the ring. And they can't seem to get creative enough to fight him on the inside, so what else is there left to do but hug and hope for that the man might slip or something and they will catch him with a swinging shot.
wlad nationality has nothing to do with the way he chooses to fight. Sadly, you won't accept that.
he may be an ATG IYO. he is dominant in the HWT division. that doesn't mean he is exciting to the public, which is the thread topic.
That's all there is to it. Well said.
Sorry man, but he is as much to blame for initiating clinches as his opponents.
And if a man initiates a clinch, and I have 4" on him, I sure as **** am going to lean on him.
Then it's up to the ref to deal with the issue, not the fighter's.

their loss. maybe if wlad was american they would be all over him. too bad.
wlad is ATG and the most dominant heavyweight in a long time.

How can someone initiate someone else leaning all over you? :lol1:

Floyd by a mile.
Listen I'm a Klitschko fan from a boxing point of view. Hey I love watching Rigo too. But of these three Floyd is by far the more entertaining exciting fighter to watch.
In defense if Wlad though, and his resume, I know some of ya'll have your minds made up and not even the coming of Jesus himself would make you change it, but no one can ever say that Wlad has not fought the best his division has to offer. You simply cannot make that argument for any other fighters in any other division. He has done that, how good are these opponents? You can argue that **** to death. But the man has fought everyone.
But again, Floyd by a mile.
P.S. I usually watch Wlads fights the day after so I can fast forward.
oh so because you don't like how he fights that gives you reason to hate him 100%. yah you're not being petty at all hahahahahaha. and all those clinches and leaning aren't initiated by him 100%. try watching his fights without your hater glasses on.
stop being so bitter. wlad is a true gentleman, a great ambassador for boxing, exciting, and dominant. what more do you want??
does he need to talk trash, throw money at a TV, be racist, etc. for you to give him respect and admiration?
How can someone initiate someone else leaning all over you? :lol1:
I suggest you watch his fights without your dick in your hand.
Dude, I couldn't care less about all that stuff that goes on outside of the ring, why don't you get that?
It's not about being bitter. If he entertained me, I would say so. But he doesn't at all.
It's funny all you Wlad fans have a huge inferiority complex.
he is exciting to watch. he boxes excitingly and is dominant and successful at it. deal with it and stop filling your heart with so much hate.
I don't hate either guy, just answered why Floyd's fights are like Gatti - Ward in comparison to Wlad's clinch fests. Enjoy Pulev being hugged into submission in September.

If wlad was exciting HBO/SHo would have him signed to a deal. Face it-while some of you love wlad (and lets be honest-most of you (freedom, slimshandy, eisenfaust, etc.) like what he represents to you not how he fights) the majority of the buying/watching public doesn't.
says it all.
"bu bu but he boring doe!"
wlad haters are the worst.
everyone seems to have a grudge against him for petty reasons. i guess that comes with the territory when you are as dominant as he is and you're not american.
Or maybe, let's consider this: Just maybe it's because he clinches, holds and leans so damn much against guys 20-30-40 pounds lighter than himself. Maybe it's because he only throws the jab-right hand.
Nah, I guess that's not a reason that people dislike him. If he was like Mike Tyson I guess people would still say he's boring because he's not american. Even though of course, I'm from Europe.
This is all that sums up Klit and the current heavyweight era.
The Heavyweight Champion of the World usually is the richest athlete, the most recognisable face and the flag bearer for world sport. Klit can't even get a prime slot on American tv, let alone a PPV.
All those things are now afforded to Floyd, not Klit and that's why the Klitlickers are so bitter towards him.
Pure Jealousy.
Very poor argument there.
Soccer doesn't get a prime TV slot in America, that doesn't mean it isn't the most loved/watched/played sport in the world. Wlad gets paid millions fighting in Europe, he earned around $18-19 mil for his fight against Povetkin.
IBF/WBO/WBA super/IBO champion, 80% KO ratio, undefeated for 10 years/the second longest reigning heavyweight champion ever, has a great smile and personality, beautiful fiancée, etc. etc.
keep hating.
The question wasn't about the titles they hold or what their significant other looks like but rather who is more exciting to watch. You're missing the point.
