anyone else think floyd loses to maidana in the rematch

Floyd clearly didnt have any respect for Maidana in that 1st fight. He thought he was an inferior fighter. Maidana is active and powerful but I still Floyd let Maidana take him to the ropes more so than he was forced into it. I thought Floyd fellt he's the better inside fighter and would pick him apart on the ropes while Maidana would also punch himself out. This time I think he will be more prepared and respect him as a fighter no matter what he says in public. I think he fights harder, stays in the center more, and puts punches together more. I also think Floyd was more distracted for that fight then anyone Ive ever seen. He's usually all about business but even heading into fight week he was giving interviews to radio shows and on twitter talking non stop about Mrs. Jackson and the abortions. Ive never seen him do that. I just dont think he was mentally all the way there. With that being said, he's going on 38 and sooner or later there will be a significant dropoff. Also, its one thing to make all the changes, feel confident, and still find yourself in tough. If Floyd prepares hard, does everything right, and Maidana is still on his ass early, you could see Floyd start to question himself. Doubt can creep in real quick and you almost start making excuses for yourself. I could see him being in this fight and thinking "I just dont have it anymore" or "Father time has caught up to me and this isnt going like I anticipated". Then he would be in big trouble. Im rooting for Floyd though because I think there are more bigger fights to be made

Yeah.floyd loves his fans ..just had an imterview sayin F his fans , his family and health and money is whay he fights F his fans. Then floyd groupies come out and say he loves us and he let marcos hit him for us. Lmao of that Lengendary fan base thought.

Lol the sole reason why I cant wait for this fight is to see Floyd struggle AGAIN and then claim that it was for the fans AGAIN. After all that I wanna see what those people saying Floyd will adjust and win easier will have to say about it.

I hope not to eat crow but I really do think madianna will do well this fight. It appeared to me that madianna has become a compitant pressure fighter. he really did a great job of keeping Floyd on the defensive. madianna also has a decent jab. He actually used his jab well against Floyd. Again, Hatton was fast footed and a decent pressure guy but he came straight down the path. Madianna comes in at angles with looping punches that work around a guard. Floyd cannot turtle up because Madianna will shoot his punches around 'floyd's guard. I also think the strategy to give madianna more stamina is a good decision. Floyd may or may not be strong but either way he does not like to be pressed into action. The latest version of Floyd is a guy who potshots ingeniously placed shots, then watches as his opponent reacts to the shots. Floyd then usually establishes a range with very accurate punching. Floyd is assuming he can adjust and do this with Madianna and that imo is his big mistake. Cotto will box floyd at times like this because Cotto is essentually a puncher who boxes very well. madianna by comparison makes his bones by being unrelenting...he keeps coming fowards. Floyd is not as prepared to deal with this as he thinks.

Maidana to me seems to know exactly why he lost from listening to his various post fight interviews, he doesn't cite the same 'oh he was fast' or 'oh he had a great defence' reasons most Floyd opponents give.

I had a 6-6 draw . Maybe you can swing it 7-5 maidana But I didnt see how floyd won that fight. He looked surprised he got the nod. Maidana has improved and fighting floyd himself only helped him get even better and familiar. Floyd fights that style all the time to a point. Marcos does not and now he has and he was in control for most the bout. Maidana is gonna bring it , I think he clearly beats floyd 7-5 or 8-4 because of a KD

Not a chance. He let himself get put against the ropes in the first few rounds and when that didn't work out in the way it usually does, he corrected and had no problem. In the next fight, he'll make a statement and do an Alexander on Maidana.

chino beats him on their first encounter and i don't see any problem for him beating Floyd again. much easier fight for Maidana this time.

No he didnt. Floyd used the pulll counter least in this fight then any other. Did you watch the fight or just read about it. He countered floyd 4 times with a straight rt hand off a flash jab to get floyd to do it. Suckered him. Landed the straight rt down low 4 times. And stagerred floyd once. Watch the film. Boxers are great actors at hiding pain.I would know

They should do open scoring for this fight imo.these are the type of fights its needed for. Showtime clearly showed it was a punch that caused the cut go back and look. Marcos does things in there that forced floyd to thebropes cause he wanted use timing footwork counters and maidanan negated it. Marcos is smarter then most think.

doubt it.. he gave floyd problems early by being unconventional but floyd figured him out. i think floyd beats him easier second time around now that he knows what he is up against, not too much marcos can do different unlike floyd.

he won the first fight but no one questioned the judges .. theres no way he will win without knocking him out

Anyone here think maidana beats #loyd in the rematch I honestly think he has floyd number. He has a nice counter to the pull counter and counter for floyds jab down low. If he uses his energy correctly and floyd moves too much ealry. The end can be very interesting.
