'King Khan' is back: Khan to Fight in December possibly against Guerrero/Alexander

Former IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (29-3, 19 KOs) says he’ll be back in the ring in December against possibly Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (32-2-1, 18 KO’s), Devon Alexander (26-2, 14 KOs) or another opponent. Khan says that his adviser Al Haymon is working on the date for the fight to be televised in the United States on Showtime in December. Khan says he wants a big name that will get him a fight against WBA/WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Khan also says he’s open to fighting Manny Pacquiao in the future now that Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions are willing to work with each other now. “I’m looking at fighting in December, maybe the second week,” Khan said to BT Sport. “I talked to Al Haymon a couple of days ago. Hopefully we can get that finalized for TV in America. There are a few names like Alexander, Robert Guerrero. As much as I want Khan to win I think Khan shouldn't sleep on either of these guys, If he overlooks his opponent again it'll end like Garcia part 2. Both are tough fights for him and he should not brawl with either of them. And most importantly he should avoid talking about Floyd too much in the build up of either of these fights.

Both Khan and Guerrero can box well, but love to go to war. I'd agree this might become a brawl. So, if Khan beats Alexander, Guerrero or Porter-Brook winner he still doesn't deserve Floyd? Trolling much? If Khan brawls or "goes to war" with either, he's getting KTFO. Yes his chin is that weak.

Been saying it for months. Those were the only two options for him. He's not fighting Porter or Thurman before getting a shot at Floyd. I think he stands a good chance to win either fight. You should mention that there's a good chance either knock Khan cold.

Khan could certainly beat either guy, but he could lose as well. I'd say Alexander would be the easier fight for him stylistically.

I see Guerrero mauling can and making it a very ugly grueling fight like Berto. Khan would get eaten alive if he can me it a fight on the inside.

Khan vs one of those two or another top WW gets him in line for Floyd. I wouldn't mind to see him fight the Porter-Brook winner and the winner of that fight Floyd in May next year.

It'll be against Alexander unless Alexander faces Thurman later this year. Don't think Khan will face Guerrero who could definitely KO Khan. Seeing as Khan has a glass jaw, anyone can KO him The Ghost hits as hard as Devon The Ghost is a easier fight, i think Khan actually stops The Ghost, where as he will win a UD against Devon. The Ghost is basically Collazo Khan packs a heavy shot at 147, he was tapping Collazo and dropped him 3 times... Also The Ghost was offered the Khan fight ahead of Collazo and turned it down, he was Khans first choice...this is confirmed by GBP

and from what i saw of Khan in his last fight, he smashes Danny Garcia. Garcia needs Khan to slip up to stand a chance and the new Khan was giving very little to his opponent

Guerrero doesn't have power to trouble Khan. Who has Guerrero KOd worth something? Hell who has Guerrero KOd at 135 or above? Guerrero got the Floyd fight because he and his dad made a lot of noise, but in reality he didn't deserved it. Guerrero gets wrecked by Khan. And people always laugh at me when. I say this, but Khan have all the tools to outbox Floyd. Guerrero doesn't have power to stop Khan because he is a power puncher, he has the power to stop Khan because khans chin is made of glass. I hear you though. I don't think Khan outboxes Mayweather, that's a tough task for Amir. He's fast, but Floyd would counter him.

Devon is a more intriguing fight, it could be a chess match if Devon doesn't hold, and he shouldn't hold, his defense is good enough for Khan's flurries, and Khan doesn't have that much power.

People arguing for Ghost, it's just crazy. :lol1: I don't know if facing Floyd made the hype train take off on this guy, but wow. Talk about madness. I have never been a fan of Khan, though I admit he has enough heart for 10 men, but Khan should not only be the favorite in that fight, he should be a clinic on Ghost. Boxer Ghost, Brawler Ghost, all versions are limited and flawed. Ghost has the power to put Khan out, but so does anyone on planet earth, the mans chin is made of porcelain.
