I see a certain fanbase here defending the Canelo/Lara decision. Interesting stuff considering the (manner/logic) I've seen at least 1 of them use. I/m posting an example in the next post.
So Canelo won cause he landed a marginal amount of power punches more and looked like hot garbage doing it huh. Well then, to the partner I'm about to quote, no offense homey, I need an explanation here.
http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Jose_Luis_Castillo_vs._Floyd_Mayweather_Jr._(1st_meeting) according to this, JLC landed (Way), more power punches than your guy, so how come you think your guy won bro??
And it wasn't a marginal amount neither, we talking double and then some what's good??
The failing here is trying to attack one group with a completely unrelated fight as ammunition. Canelo is not "my guy" but he won and rightly so. Keeps that pattycake sht in the amateurs. I don't want to see boxing pussified with that point fighting style. Canelo brought a fight. Good for him.
it's a choice between power punches vs running around the ring like a headless chicken.
my choice is clearly the power punches 'cause it's boxing and not track and field.

You can't compare Jose Luis Castillo vs Mayweather to Canelo vs Lara.
Mayweather tried to win. And many see that as Mayweathers first actual loss because of Castillos activity.
Power punches count more than jabs, but jabs still count, and body punches count.
Canelo landed more power punches in 10 of 12 rounds.
Canelo won a close fight. I had it 6-5-1
