Except he has 3 more fights with Showtime and one is the rematch, and we already know he'll never fight Manny. retire then. i used to stay up til 6am to watch all the big fights, but the big fights arent big anymore. certainly wont be staying up to watch may and pacs next fights. boxing is going downhill.

I wouldn't use that argument with Floyd as your avatar, considering the best near Floyds division (he is a 154 champ) is Cotto at 160 or GGG at 160. At 154 there is really nobody of relevance, and at 147 he should have fought Manny about 10 times now. Cotto is the best around Floyds division and lineal MW, that alone is better than fighting the #6 ranked WW. In my opinion , a fight at a different venue is the only thing Floyd Mayweather would consider a surprise .

there was also no point to mayweather maidana 1 or 2. the number 1 guy should be facing the next best guy at or around his weight, regardless of politics. cotto isnt and maidana certainly isnt the next best guy. Cotto got Freddie Roach and then WON the lineal MW title.
