You must have missed all the talking. It went something like this: " Angulo dropped Lara twice so Canelo is going to ktfo Lara!"
This wasn't supposed to be a close fight according to Canelo fans, Lara has a glass jaw or something
Then that would mean both Lara's and Canelo's stocks dropped. As Lara fans were saying "Lara gonna take Canelo to Cuban School of Boxing in a shutout" and "Canelo is going to gas by mid rounds, Lara will pick him off". That didn't happen.
Either way, I have Canelo over Maidana. I really like Maidana but Canelo would be too big and too strong. Maidana would fight and brawl Canelo which is a bad idea. Canelo is the better boxer, faster hands, and bigger and stronger fighter.
Why would his stock drop after a very close fight with a fighter who has never legitimately been beaten before? Lara is also a bad style matchup for Canelo. Almost everyone who saw the fight said it could've gone either way. How does that reflect negatively on Canelo? A 50-50 fight going in that ended up being very close. Sounds about right to me.

Exactly, good post... Lara is like Hopkins, in which it's nearly impossible to look good in even if you beat them..
If anything both stocks rose, canelo showed better stamina and endurance and Lara isn't an unknown in boxing anymore.. A lot of fights will open for him now
Not even sure if I would pick Canelo over Zou Shiming.
Canelos stock dropped IMO.

maidana earned the rematch with floyd, and canelo didnt
:moon:
styles make fights, canelo tried to boxed with floyd, that wasn't gonna work, chino didn't, he rushed him. canelo against lara was almost a lhw, to big for marcos who himself isn't the biggest welterweight.
canelo, chino is really small, look at what happened to josesito lopez, he was a light welterweight, who moved to welterweight to fight ortiz who moved to jr middleweight to fight canelo.
