The Real Question: Was This A PPV Fight?

The way I look at it, if this fight was in my hometown I would have no problem dropping 60 bucks for a ticket, plus parking, beer money etc... So why would I complain about PPv of the same fight

Lara has no fanbase (not his fault) and Canelo's claim to fame is being good looking and losing to Mayweather. How is this PPV worth? Was Bradley-Alexander PPV worthy? What is high stakes about it? The winner being talked about maybe fighting Cotto? I am a fan of both fighters, but this was not a PPV bout. They are stretching boxing fans wallets VERY thin and not delivering quality content. I would have paid PPv for Alexander-Bradley... That was a great matchup but turned into a dud fight, but on paper, it was a can't miss fight.. I know that fanbases have a huge impact if a fight is on PPv or not, but screw the name fighters, give me great matchups on PPv Ward-kovolev Kovolev-Hopkins Kovolev-Stevenson Stevenson-ward Ggg-ward Roman-Estrada 2 Donaire-lomachenko Mares-Santa Cruz Lucas-Maidana Give me fights like these with a decent undercard, and I got no problem buying a ppv

No it shouldn't have been a ppv.

Yeah it was PPv... It was the best 2 guys in a division, in their primes, with high stakes.. This was a great matchup, and def PPv worthy.. Much better matchup than manny-rios, Floyd-ghost, Yes, exactly. This was a fight for the fans of the sport. Top 2 fighters at 154 going for the top spot. It was a good fight, and competitive. But, Lara f*cked up big time: way too inconsistent, inactive, and too caught up with the amateur points mindset. He only has himself to blame for the loss. But, props to Nelo for making it a fight. I had it 7-5 for Nelo, but did not think he would pull it off. He is adding some good names to his resume, fighting top fighters with difficult styles, and is gaining confidence. Plus, he is still only 23 years old. But, the card was pretty entertaining, except for the Mares fight. I've never thought too much of Mares. I didn't see much of a jab from him, so that fight was especially ugly, considering Mares won that fight "boxing."

I will give u the angulo fight, but having the 2 best jr kids fighting in the primes of their careers, and the contrasting styles and high stakes, pre fight this was a great matchup.. Canelo being shoved down or throats. He just simply isn't very good But this Is boxing in. 2014. "Star power" = PPV no matter what broner was in his way of being shoved down our throats too, maidana stopped that from happen

At this point the only people I'll shell money out for a ppv (given a legit opponent): Floyd Manny GGG Stevenson (I love watching him fight) Cotto Garcia (Philly guy, can't help it)

Look at how the fans turned against Pacquiao when they asked 70 bucks to fight Clottey, Mosley, etc. This is not how you build a star. This is how you pull as fast one over the fans. Lara is a solid fighter, but this was a World Championship Boxing card, not a PPV card. Golden Boy is fucking up. Neither are ppv worthy, stop shoving Canelo down peoples throats he's overrated.
