Is he scared of the 175 pounders? We all know the "light/super" classes were only made to baby fighters till they were ready for the real weight classes.
He has talked about how he's not a Light Heavyweight because he doesn't walk around 190. Is he afraid his skills cannot overcome size?
He's only fought FOUR times in THREE years. I know he has promotional issues but, man can they at least schedule him for a 10 round exhibition against some bum at least?
come on...what big fights are there outside of froch 2?
ggg isnt even a 168 pounder and will stay at 160 for atleast another year..ward has been chasing this guy since last year lol thats not the reason for him not moving up.
chavez is a possibility but that fight will most likely land for froch.
the real reason, as i stated a year or so ago is that ward has american diva fever
The biggest problem isn't even opponent choice. He's suing his promoter, and keeps suing his promoter over and over. Ward said Goossen isn't making fights for him, and honestly can you say that's surprising? What promoter makes fights for fighters that are suing them?
Maybe Ward will fight Hopkins at 175 when Hopkins is 60? Or Stevenson or Kovalev when they're 45?
He should do all of that then become a "legend".
He's already beat more than 3 top 5 ranked guys so he'd already over half way there.
He will go eventually, but too many possible big fights at 168 for him to leave now..
Let him take care of froch 2, ggg, chavez, etc before moving up

The 168 weight division didn't even exist for most of boxing history. There was just 160 and 175.
Ward isn't a warrior like Joe Calzaghe, who left his country and moved up to 175 and fought the Ring champion Bernard Hopkins.
Ward always demands everything his own way: weight, home advantage, no PED testing.

I think he wanted to go to 175 for all the marbles, there are obviously better fights at that weight but it really looked like he wanted there to be a clear number one guy to take out when he made the jump. That was fairly close to fruition also but that whole thing went up in smoke, which is probably part of Ward's current beef his plan went up in smoke and now he is upset because his promoter has no real back-up plan, surrounding landscape be damned.
Hmmm, everyone wants the middleweights to come up to supper middle to fight Ward.Dawson came down to fight Ward. How about Ward go up in weight for once since he can't get fights at super middle.
I don't think he's scared, I think he wants money fights with Froch, Chavezito or Triple G before he moves up for more money fights at 175. I honestly think it's business. That said, I think Kovalev is more of a threat than any of the three guys I mentioned, by a long shot. That guy is a killer, straight out of a Rocky movie.
He is a natural 168 pounder and has no trouble making weight and so far he has been unbeatable at that weight. If he fights the best challengers at 168 then what's the problem? Why should he handicap himself by fighting men who are naturally 7 pounds bigger than he is? Look what happened to Gamboa when he fought a good fighter in a weight class he didn't belong in. Hagler and Pryor stayed at the same weight their whole career and they were all time greats. Why should Ward have to do something they never did?
ward won gold at light heavy didnt he? ward is a **** ped using arrogant fake christian piece of ****- people see thru his 'holier than thou' bs
He wanted to make the move while ago but Virgil hunter said no
Him vs kovalev would be a great fight this year
You are a retard - your rankings dont make sense manny been knocked out by marquez and lost to bradley?

No, it was Max Kellerman's idea. In hindsight, Chad should never have agreed to it.
Dawson said HBO pressured him to fight Ward at 168 because Ward didn't want to go up to 175. Maybe if he had Al Haymon as a manager then, he would have been better advised.
Guy doesn't even fight.
He is a "HAS BEEN"
There's a good fight at 175 for him in Kovalev but idk if wards nuts are fully developed yet. Pascal is even there, he could go up and try him first. (Pause) either way, there's two fights at lhw for him that can be made in a Heart beat. No network or promoter drama to have to work around. Well, he actually has his own promoter drama. Kinda forgot about that. Idk man, Ward is just a waste right about now. He's boring too. I'm not talkin about his chump ass anymore. **** him. He should just become a full time commentator.
Then he can move down to 160 and fight Gennady.
After all, he made Dawson go down to 168.
But Ward is a prima donna who demands everything be his own way.
Dawson said himself he'd drop down to 168 for the fight, which he did.

Dawson said he would go to 168, it was his idea.
if ward is afraid of kovolev, ggg pulls his skirt up and reveals his little p.ussy at the idea of fighting ward.
Kovaev would flog out Ward..
Tbh.. I think Golovkin would flog him out now as well!
