Just watched him for the first time. He has an awkward style and decent defense. BUT he gets caught with ONE good shot every now and then that is 100% unblocked almost every single time. Happens like once every 2 rounds or so. It's funny because he for the most part has pretty good defense, but this is like a constant gettting caught by one straight shot landing flush. It's even more noticable because of the fact he has decent defense. Not comparing him to floyd, but whenever floyd gets hit flush 1 time you feel like the world is about to come to an end because it never happens it is extremely noticable every time. He has pretty good speed and can move well. IF he takes 1 shot from kovalev flush like I see him taking in these fights I watched he's going to give kovalev a highlight reel KO the first time he gets caught i have no doubt about it. To be honest though he's probably just lazy because of the opponents hes fighting. If he wants any chance at winning he has to tighten up and fix that problem.
To be honest though, I've heard this joke plenty of times before but this guy literally can't punch himself out of a paper bag and I'm not even joking. Whenever chris algeri sits down on a punch I feel like it produces more power than this guy. p4p this guy might just be one of the lightest punchers I've ever seen. Maybe he never sits down on a punch and tries to focus on improving his boxing skills but I literally never saw him land a single HARD flush shot.
Lets be f*cking real here, kovalev's team knew exactly what they were doing when they picked this guy. Whoever is a boxer looking for a manager I suggest you go hire whoever manages kovalev because that guy definitely knows what he's doing. This is the PERFECT opponent for him. He is going to walk right through this guy. I'm predicting an early flatout one punch knockout, but if he can't put him away early the corner is going to stop it. If by any chance this guy has an iron chin he can possibly go the distance, he's skilled enough. There is absolutely no way in hell kovalev comes close to losing this fight in any way though.

No numbskull, Caparello picked Kovalev because he was the only one who put his hand up to fight him, just like Stevens with Golovkin.
If we're being honest Caparello is not much better than Rod Salka.
Caparello is a genuine LHW who has held an IBO title at the weight.
Salka is a 74th ranked Lightweight who is stepping up a division.
Here's a thought: Kovalev is better and hits harder then Danny Garcia
and Garcia has issues with boxers.
If Shoulderoll wants someone to blame, then blame Al Haymon for giving Stevenson the puzzy road out.
I'll bet you that Salka lasts longer than Caparello. Let's see if you are willing to put your points where your mouth is.

Who does Kovalev have available and who does Garcia have Available?
Fonfara was swiped away by Stevenson, Stevenson ran, Hopkins open to fight.... and LHW is devoid of any talent
I know the difference man. No one wants to fight Kovalev.
Everyone wants to fight Swift..Until he destroys them.
Oh fucking please... because he beat Collado?
Is Capparello also going up 2 weight classes?

Sure.
Lucero, Collado, and Canelo's brother(Salka should have won this fight) are good competition for a guy with 22 fights.
Don't get me wrong Salka has in no way earned a title shot but Caparello's competition is just gross.

lol who... Collado?
Lucero.. Pac's leftovers from the early 2000's?

Both are not great fighters. Salka has fought way better opposition though.
KOvalev will walk through Caparello. Caparello is way too defensive and will ger KTFO'd early.
Salka will give Danny some rounds and at least try to win.

Not even in the same stratosphere. Completely difference circumstance
The 140lb division is stacked. 175 not only is not, but Kovalev was supposed to be fighting the lineal champ instead of Caparello and he ducked him.
Garcia didn't have to fight Salmon. Kovalev had no choice but to fight Caparello.
And with that said, Caparello is at least undefeated and ranked #9 on boxrec.
This was the only guy who was willing to fight him. Now Hopkins is willing to give him a boxing lesson.
Caparello is the Australian Algieri. WAR Caparello!!!!!!
According to Boxrec, Caparello got floored in the first round against a bum. That's the only KD of his career though. Still, I think Kovalev's going to put a brutal beating on him.
Apparently, his plan is to fight fire with fire. It's like he WANTS to be knocked out cold.He gets caught flush all the time its just he's fighting tomato cans he doesn't go down.
