Which network has the most genuine commentators, calling things how they really are, instead of trying to convey a hidden agenda of the network in their commentating? is it Showtime commentators or HBO?
I guess i'm wondering what the commentators are going to say about Garcia vs Salka fight..
Don't know why you peeps keep taking these commentators like they are popes. They have their own biases. They're fans just like you and me. They can't always be relied upon to make accurate calls. They are humans. I like RJJ, Malignaggi, Lampley, Bernstein, but that does not mean I always go with what everything they say.

The fighters always keep it pretty honest like Paulie and Roy. Jim Lampley keeps it 100 he doesnt care what kind of backlash he gets from social media. Al Bernstein is more respectful but still makes his point but kind of holds back because he is mindful of social media.
Hands down, no-brainer Showime keeps it real.
HBO is bias when it comes to their contract fighters they are invested in, always have been. When Manny was knocking fighters out that were two weight classes above him they never mention PED use, but when Manny got knocked out all of a sudden PEDs are on their radar.
Also, is the horrible Lampley show Fight Game cancelled already? It should be.
What you said reminded me of the post fight speech of lampley after Manny/Marquez 4..........

Sho is almost as bad as espn. They have nonexperts doing commentary, they have a mma guy, berstein who always rides paulies dick and a jersey shore gatekeeper whos racist
At least hbo lets fans text in after a fight to see who won and they have a fotd in RJJ and a elite trainer in Manny Steward
paula would get thrown out the door if he tried to get a job at hbo

Hbo.
On multiple occasions I've heard hbo guys criticizing their own product. If it's a crap fight, lampley will say something like, "we apologize but this is not normally the quality of fight that we like to show"
I guarantee the showtime guys won't say anything over the sort when Ron salsa enters the ring.

I voted for Showtime. Steve Farhood knows boxing 100 times better than Lampley and he doesn't talk your ears off. He call punches punches not shots and he doesn't say down goes so and so every time there is a knock down. Kellerman and Jones are OK and I wish they could call the fights minus Lampley.

Showtime and it's not really even close. Lampley falls in love with guys, RJJ falls in love with black fighters, and Kellerman is the closest to being real, but also falls in love with certain guys way too much.
Both sides have played the house guy from time to time, but individually no one falls in love with certain fighters like HBO's entire team.
Not just Lampley, HBO in general falls in love with certain fighters, thats why we are forced fed fighters on HBO in comparison to Shotime, we get to see many different fighters and pick and choose who we like. Perfect example I can give is Zou Shiming. Now granted he is a respected olympian, but this guy has headlined I think this will be his 3rd HBO card coming up, and not only that, headlining over one of the best boxers in the world. With Shotime, we get a variety of fighters and we are not force fed who they want us to like (or their favorites). For instance, Antoine Douglas will be headlining a card on the 25th.
