eddie Hearn says the Froch vs Degale fight might actually happen in november 2014, or at the latest in may 2015. it depends on if Froch wants to fight again this year or if he takes a long break.
who you think is going to win it? i can't wait to see that fight.
Froch is a star agreed but this isn't an attractive matchup. Plenty of folks are not going to care. The Groves fight had the storyline. Degale is a sh*thead by all accounts. He's very hard to look at or listen to in my experience and doesn't seem deserving. You make decent points though.
Well the Degale storyline is sort of intertwined with the Groves storyline.. Degale has been calling out Froch for about 4 years now, soon after he turned pro.. Now Degale has worked his way into a position to fight him - its not an overnight thing, there's already a sort of tension which has been brewing for a few years.. words have been exchanged between them over the years in interviews with Degale saying he'll beat Froch easy and Froch saying Degale is a no one.. the foundations have already been laid..
what Degale has to do is probably turn it up a few notches and start blasting Froch for ducking him etc.. start selling the fight more like Groves did..
Any Froch fight has international interest, he is the cash cow at 168 - not Ward.. sure he's not technically the most gifted but he is still the man in the division..
remember the Groves 1 and Mack fights were against boxers who have around the same international acclaim as Degale has right now..

You rate Degale extremely high. On the subject; my reference was to the amount of international interest Degale has - or the match itself would have.

Degale is a serious talent man, there's a reason he's rated in the world top ten supermids! I know someone who sparred him and he said he's no joke. Degale beat groves too, he just got robbed cos the crowd swayed the judges so really he's an undefeated top ten fighter.. that fight right there will be better than Froch vs Groves..in fact i'd say its one of the best match ups in the whole division

Ok now this would be a "domestic fight."
Don't nobody give a f*ck about James Degale. :lol1:

Froch needs to man up and right the wrong with the Andre Ward fight, he fought an injured Ward last time...
I want to see what happens when Ward doesn't have the injury throughout the fight.
DeGale's slaps against Froch's hammers.
Hmmmmm, let me think about that for a second.
Lets be serious, Degale is (at best) a European level fighter, he beat a poor Gonzalez on Froch's undercard and before that his last fight was in front of 250 people at a Bristol leisure centre where he was unable to put away a total road sweeper.
Say what you will about Froch, the only way he loses against Degale is if he takes it easy in training and isn't motivated.
I think Froch will vacate and fight a bigger fish like Chavez in Vegas.
And I would not blame him for doing so.
Outside the ring both Froch and Degale can be idiots, but inside the ring only one is a true champ - and it ain't 'Chunky'.
Oh so now it was a "poor Gonzalez"? :lol1:

Another meaningless fight for a meaningless fighter. Carl Froch's post Super Six career has been a sham. A great win vs. Bute has been followed with such atrocities as Yusaf Mack, one eye blind Kessler, and domestic level fighters George Groves and James DeGale.
Or if we're lucky, we may see him tussle with one of the great fighters of our era and one of the best SMWs of all time Julio Cesar Chavez Jr (just ask Bryan Vera).
Carl Froch is an ugly man. Inside and out. And a really bad fighter. Andre Ward would take his soul again. He'll leave Carl's slag alone though. Andre is a gentleman outside of the squared circle and has a beautiful, conservative family.
Andre Ward's last and few fans. They really are a dieing breed.
Froch is the biggest fight out there for him.
it will probably happen next year but DeGale is a far more accomplished super middleweight and he is mando
Does your butt hurt when you wake up?
It's worrying that you'd immediately start talking about my arse for absolutely no reason. Very troubling. I know men's rectums must never be far from your mind but try to focus on the subject matter of the thread.
