1)Nonito Donaire is one of the purest punchers in the sport and when he isnt depending on his left hook and throws combos he is arguably the best puncher in the sport 33-2 (21 kos) its a 60% kayo but stopped or dropped 9/10 last opponents and is one of the best one punch hitters on the planet
2)Danny Garcia has a paltry 59% ko ratio 28-0 16 kos
dropped or stopped 5/6 opponents and may be the hardest puncher not named mathyssee at 140...kos oveer shop-worn but teak tough legend Morales
3) Miguel Cotto has a 74.4% kayo ratio and 32 kos in 39 wins....one would think he was a one punch kayo artist but he may not have one highlight reel kayo or 1 punch ko over a top flight fighter. He is a solid puncher, not concussive and reputedly harder punchers dont have his ko ratio
4)Marcos Maidana has a 79%+ percent kayo ratio 31 kos in 35 wins but doesnt have a slew of one punch kayos, his unorthodox punching technique, and his natural strength adds to the affect of his punches because they are not always visible. He has power but isnt a hearns, Julian Jackson, Trinidad type one punch concussive puncher
5) Sergio Martinez has a 50% kayo ratio but has stopped or dropped all his best opposition, save Cotto who by the time he fought him had suffered several injuries and im sure affected the delivery and torque of his punches. Most the top middleweights have better ko ratios but he is actually top 3 in the best punchers at mw
John Molina
As with Mickey Bey, and Lucas Matthysse, and a few more... the dude can punch and when he lands it becomes very interesting.
Alexander Frenkel (quit the sport suffering from depression what a waste of talent)
This dude could punch, his KO record didn't suffice for his deadly power in his hands! Remember Enzo?
Ovill McKenzie
Domestic fighter at best, has a low KO ratio but this guy can seriously punch!
Chad Gaynor
British WW upcoming (beat my buddy via vicious KO) this dude doesn't appear to have KO power judging by his record but he can bang, I'd watch out for him for the future but he does have a suspect chin
James Degale
Another guy due to his awkwardness you dont feel he has fight ending power but I think not, he has that deceiving power.
Terence Crawford
Another sleeper, this dude is immensely talented and I feel if he needs to turn the heat up via KO he can do.
Margas was a decade ago when he was green, dude started boxing in his 20's
when he caught his stride he started tko and kayoing guys......Chavez and Pavlik were never stopped in their careers, doesnt mean he cant punch. Nor has murray
GGG, QUillen, and Stevens have fought no one of note and Martinez has beaten more top ten contenders than all three of them combined. You have to consider the level of competition.
Martinez is the only fighter to ko Paul Williams, stopped undefeated Dzinzurak, and showed very good power when he reached his peak and would have expected his kayo ratio to be a bit better
You claimed he dropped or stopped all of the top competition when he didn't. Just pointing it out.
I know of Martinez record and have seen every fight since Bunema. I'm not saying he is a bad puncher, I just think his power (his game in general) has been overrated since PWII.
disagree here...didnt drop murray, margs, chavez or pavlik either
GGG Quillin & Stevens are more devastating punchers
