Interview with Brook's promoter, Eddie Hearn, from last week. Skip to 13.00
Hearn mentions he asked for random drug testing in the terms of contract.
Could this be the reason that Team Porter is stalling on singing it? Are they shook by this condition?
We all saw how Porter, who'd been a fairly ho-hum run of the mill fighter until recently, suddenly looked like a mini Tyson against Malignaggi.
Paulie himself was shocked and said he'd never been hit like that before. He ended up with a brain bleed if I'm not mistaken. He said he'd not been concerned about Porter's power before because he hadn't really KO'd anybody. He seemed to be intimating that Porter might be on something.
And perhaps most importantly, Porter is American.....so there's that. He isn't randomly tested year round.
Pigsfly never said that VADA conducted the tests. That was Dirk Diggler making that false statement (because he took that from Hearns who misspoke or just didn't even know what he was talking about). Dirk continually tried to argue that it's VADA even after correction. :lol1:
So again, this is just yet another person stating the facts -- that it is UKAD. I think Pigsfly is questioning the legitimacy of the random drug testing for professional boxing in the UK. And he does have an argument there, because there's conflicting reports about the frequency and it even being done at all for some.
No I didn't. Why lie? I said maybe VADA works with UKAD now. I don't actually know. So far it's Hearn's word against yours. There is no "correction".
The drug testing is random so some fighters may not get tested for a while but they are always under the threat of being tested because it's random and year round.
Clearly a far superior testing system to the US where fighters choose when they want to be tested or are not tested at all.
I've seen the article, hence the 'random' part of the drug testing. Some guys won't be blood tested some guys will I assume. And you are completely wrong about the BBBoC introducing it this year, additionally it is not VADA that conducts the doping tests (they have done so for British fighters fight abroad but it is actually UKAD (UK anti doping association)
Quote from 2012 from Richard Schaefer
It's really a non-issue with Amir. The British Boxing Board of Control retains jurisdiction on every fight, irrespective of where it is when Amir Khan fights. So the British Boxing Board of Control has implimented for many years already random Olympic style drug testing said Schaefer.

Enzo Macca failing his drug test in 2012 is quoted as saying "'I have been tested over 20 times in my career and have never failed any random or post fight doping test, but on this occasion, due to my naivety, I have tested positive for a banned substance."
Why would he mention random testing if he was not random tested?

yea because it's urine. not blood......blood was recently introduced in 2012 as the BBBofC themselves state. not only do they state that but they admit that the transition to implement blood has been expensive (thats why it's been so dodgy) you're quoting test that didn't involve blood. blood came into play in 2012 (thats what you seem to be missing) and they don't do year round testing on boxers. i gave you direct quotes (not from Schaefer or anyone else) but the BBBofC themselves stating this. the 850 to 200 ratio alone proves that it's no where close to "year round" testing..............
ok let me just smash this down with facts real quick (because it's gotten out of hand in here since i left) first of all british boxers don't get tested year round (fact) & before 2012 the BBBofC didn't implement randomized blood test.........in 2012 thats when that came into play. so what ever you're listening to what khan is saying it's a flat out lie (flat out) unless he was doing blood by his own expense. or he's just mistaken & talking about a random urine test. also he was tested in the Olympics for blood & urine but thats only because thats basic protocol across the board in the Olympics.
the actual BBBofC general "Robert Smith" was quoted saying "Random blood testing came in this year. But don't forget this costs money as well. That's not a reason for not doing it, but there is a dividing line for any governing body"
this year as in 2012 when he was quoted saying that. thats smashed. thats done........i don't wanna hear anything else about the british board implementing randomized blood before the year 2012 because it's completely untrue.
& the reason why i said british boxers don't actually do full year round randomized testing is because that would be too expensive. so that means it's more of a dodgy spotty process (A show up & test you one time off season & never show up again for that entire year, kinda thing) & I'm dead serious. & the BBBofC themselves was quoted in saying "We have 850 boxers and over the last two or three years we've done almost 200 out-of-competition tests," why isn't that 200 850 test? if you have a total of 850 boxers & "british fighters across the board get tested year round?" (as diggler so proudly claims)
in fact if you're doing true year round testing it should be a hell of a lot more then even 850 (if you test each of that 850 at least 5 times off season of a year) that would be a hell of lot more then 850 let alone 200. this type of dodgyness will leave the door open for hundreds guys to not even get tested at all.
and thats what fighters like david price was complaining about
"I haven't been randomly tested since I turned pro," Price told BBC Sport.
"Not once in three-and-a-half years.
I have had urine tests before title fights. but I'd like to see more random blood testing."
so in all truth i just proved that british boxers don't get tested year round nore was random blood implemented before 2012. what else do you want? because I'll sit here & drown you guys with more then enough information.

see my last post......:smashfrea
you are gonna quickly realize that u can't f*ck with me. everything that i talk about i already have the facts in my pocket before i even start debating about it.
have fun................`

I agree with you,
posters are acting like Divas.
Nobody answered my question about victor conte.
did he get caught for supplying illegal PEDs ?
Yeah he did quite a while back get caught selling steroids.
I think he served time for it, not much but a little bit of time.
The BBBoC has been doing random testing in the ABA (amateurs) and professionals for a long time. It clearly states that Amir Khan has been subject to random blood and urine tests since his first professional fight meaning at least 2005 - it is likely before then that random testing was implemented.

Something's off with him. He gives me PED vibes but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and seeing whether or not he signs off on the testing.
I don't really give anyone the benefit of the doubt tbh, but a guy that size who was able to throw without rest against Devon for 12 rounds without some sauce? Not buying it for a second.
vada was only formed within the past like 3 years if I'm not mistaken.........(did they use another agency?) because if thats the case they've only been implementing this for a year or 2. (now thats good) but that leaves centuries for juicing.
but the point is at this time many people regardless are trying to push for these testings world wide across the board. i don't see the point (when this is a recent push)
but please try to answer my question because maybe it's something that I'm missing out on.

It was unprecedented and public, and it came from a known weasel in Mayweather. Same as the glove issue with Maidana.
Unprecedented = he was the first. That's not a negative. Some might even consider that a positive.
Public = who cares? Team Pacquiao has spent months insinuating that Marquez is on something. I'm going to assume that you will side with Marquez should he say no to testing, right? Or will you concoct some other bullsh*t as to why it was ok for everyone to be cool with Manny avoiding testing but it's "different" in other cases? So far I've heard that Floyd didn't ask nicely, feel free to add on.
