Why Are Some Fans Rooting for Oscar to Fail?

I don't understand this. Why are some fans(mostly a certain fighters fans) that are rooting for Oscar to fail, when in reality if Oscar is successful in what he is trying to do, he wins. the fans win, boxing wins. Him trying to get all promoters to co-promote and have their best fighters pinned against each other, making for the best fights and a better sport. So why people what this BS " I wont work with so or so, cuz...." to continue, and want Haymon and or richard to gain tranction and farher ruin our sport? Who cares if Oscar loses a bit of money while he tries to actually fix boxing. That was obvious from the very beginning that they'd do that. Floyd fans would rather side with Al Haymon and Schaefer, the front runners in the Cold War, over the guy who is willing to go to great lengths to end it. It's like they think Al Haymon is their long lost father or something. It's a weird attraction they have towards the guy, especially with the great lengths they go to just to defend the guy.

They want that money going towards the black man(Haymon). Ya dig?

I've never liked Oscar and I'm rooting against him. Im not going to list all the reasons except I think he's a fraud inside and outside of the ring and is more concerned with PR and his golden boy image then actual facts and reality. I'm amazed how gullible fans are and can't see through the BS and his talk of everyone working together yeah in a ideal world that's nice but this is the real world. it's just PR and its embarrassing that people Drink the kool aid and think Oscar is doing this for the betterment Of the sport and not because he doesn't have any options Who gives a **** why he's doing it. At the end of the day boxing is better off if all the promoters were willing to work with each other so that every match up would be capable of being made. Oscar is trying to do that and I could care less if he's doing it for himself at the end of the day we would get the fights that we actually want to see.

Because they are not real fans of the sport. They are fans of this wealthy guy and they love everything and anyone associated with him. His friends are their friends. His enemies are their enemies. Look at me. I want to see Floyd collaborate with Schaefer and Haymon and make the fights fans want to see. Who cares about this cold war thing? Broner vs Matthysse would be epic. And all i hear from Mayweather/Haymon fans is wishing Oscar to fail. It's very stupid, we finally have a promotor who is listening to the fans, trying to make some of the best fights for OUR money, yet people give him the cold shoulder. I mean if thats how fans want it, then why should the "Cold War" between promotors end if theres no difference. Fans need to wake up. Only way we as fans benefit from all this is if they ALL work together. Only one has stepped up to the plate and thats Golden Boy Promotions. Everyone else wants to do their own thing.

U ever heard the saying ignorance is bliss? I don't know why ppl think it's cool to be ignorant to how the world works. I'm not rooting for him to fail. But it was obvious to anyone with a brain things werent going to get better because of Oscar. U say that, it makes u a hater. No itvmajes u someone who knows better and doesn't get your hopes up. He didn't need to fix the sport, the sport is just fine, the only fighters that are maligned are under Top Rank. Manny Pacquiao and those guys only have each other to fight, HBO and Top Rank were losing their investors. He didn't make the smartest business move. He's not the one who should reaching across the aisle, he already done that plenty of times in 2008 and 2009 when Goldenboy wasn't on top and had to bow to Arum demands to make fights with Pacquiao or any other Top Rank based fighter at those times. You fail with your whole way of thinking because right now you have to be thinking about the business aspect of things. Oscar shouldn't be trying to throw down barriers to someone that is losing and then putting himself and his company at risk. Bob Arum is burning a lot of bridges.. Goldenboy has been putting on the best fights, even now this weekend Russell Jr. and Lomachenko. This whole year actually was all Goldenboy, and that was when Haymon, Schaefer and even to some extent Mayweather making moves. Arum was the one who told people to boycott their events while he was using it to promote his own events. You think everyone should be singing kumbaya after all these years of Arum bashing you and acting like an *******? Oscar isn't trying to save boxing, he don't even know what he is doing. You and me should give 3 fucks about the business side. Oscar was the better man and is extending his hand, to xi the sport. It doesn't matter who's to fault if somebody steps up and make it happens. I don't see anyone rooting for him to fail. It's just that, that's what happened. He tried to force something that didn't needed to be forced. His company was at the top, it was the premier of boxing yet he felt he needed to flex his muscles within his own borders by deciding to help pull up the competition that whole purpose for the 5 last years were to denigrate your company's position. While he was getting coked up, it was three men that had to deal with the person that made the whole messed up landscape boxing is in right now. You can't step on toes because you feel some type of way.. Yesterday you were at the top and everyone looked up to you, now you are falling and sinking fast while the guy you gave the life raft is laughing and rowing towards land. He already failed.
