Kudos to Cotto picking the fruit while it was ripe, all the hate should be directed to Martinez for fighting with no knees. The point is that the lineal champ should be the best mw. I could be wrong but the next fights for the mw lineal title will probably against jmw and welters which is a bit wrong imo.

To be fair tho, cotto DID ultimately beat the lineal champ tho. Something plenty of middleweights have tried and failed to do. Kind of hard to b1tch about if somebody should have been in there when they actuallybeat the lineal champ. i think some are just upset that it was cotto. i don't think the majority of these posters who felt bad for martinez would have given too many ****s if it was gloveking who beat the **** out of martinez.

I think the lineal title is overrated. What is important to me is who is the best in any given weight class. To me GGG has been the best middleweight in the world for a couple of years now and I think he will prove that if he can get the other top middleweights to share a ring with him. World titles should always be fought at the full limit of that weight class and not even one pound less in my opinion.

Everyne knows that GGG is currently the #1 mw fighter in the world and should get a crack at the lineal title but as others have said boxing doesnt always work like that.

trinidad ko'd the 2nd best middleweight then fought hopkins. oscar "beat" sturm then fought hopkins. you can say why did they get shots at joppy and sturm but they proved themselves before getting a shot at the #1. cotto just got a shot instead of golovking who was the clear #1, and now cotto probably won't fight golovking. we have another mid 2000s welter situation where a bunch of frauds fight each other while ducking #1 contender. I think hes talking about Cotto getting the shot at Martinez (over whoever he supports). Nobody I support at middleweight. And even though that leapfrog happened. How about canelo and mayweather leapfrogging at a possible chance for the belt. The actual middleweights were left out in the cold lol fycked up.
