I'm gonna go against the grain here and predict a Loma win and possibly by stoppage. GRJR will hurt his fragile hands or something and Loma will capitalize. I could also see Loma hurting GRJR. We've never really seen his chin get checked, I think it Loma will do that. They're both fundamentally sound so all of this happens on the second half of the fight.
EDIT: I think Loma will show his power in this fight. Salido took his hits for 10 rounds before he felt the power but he has a good chin. Let's see how GRJR's chin hold up.
I picked the right guy but I was wrong about the outcome. I thought Loma's power was gonna be enough to stop GRJR but he proved me wrong, he has a good chin even though he was rocked a few times. Loma fought too cautious at times though. When he let his hands go he had success. Overall it was a decent fight. Congrats to the new champ Vasyl LomachenKO!
Lomachenko vs. Salido - Loma has great footwork, great hand speed throws hard, crisp combinations but is very conservative with his punch output. When he gets his distance he looks like the 400-2 amateur super star that everybody knows him as but when Salido closed the distance he had no answer. His lack of pro experience was easy to see. Salido's body attack made him extremely uncomfortable and he clinched at close range because he didn't know what else to do.
I rewatched three Russell fights - Russell vs. TBA XXI and Russell vs. TBA XXII and Russell vs TBA XXIV. Russell is a dynamic offensive fighter. Very fast hands and has great timing to go along with it. He does leave himself open at times but it hasn't caught up to him yet.
I'm going to go with Russell. l think he keeps the fight at mid to close range, maintains a sustained body attack and beats Lomachenko to the punch. In the pocket he is the far superior fighter at this stage in their careers.
I'm going to watch Salido vs. Lomachenko tonight. Then I'll watch the Gary Russell vs. TBA series. Then I'll try and make a guess.
looooooooooooooooooool
I'm going for Russell Jr finally making his mark with a comfortable decision and boxing fans worldwide therefore being even more confused about what he's been doing for the last couple of years.
Lomachenko will win this. Now wether it's by Ko or ud I'm not sure. I'm not quite sure what to expect in this fight but am willing to put points on Lomachenko
I have no idea how this fight will play out

Got Russell Jr in this one. Right now by decision but i'm thinking a KO may be in order, i'm gonna go watch the Salido fight again and perhaps the Ramirez one and edit my post later.
So if Lomachenko beats Gary Russell, how much credit will he get?
I'll give him a lot of credit being only his officially 3rd pro fight. GRJR is talented, I won't deny that, he's been brought up way too slow for my liking.

I am picking GRJ to win via UD. Loma finds out that he isn't the fastest kid on the block and starts to break down as the fight goes on.
If he didnt break down vs someone like Salido what makes you think he will break down vs Russell Jr?

I agree with this. Jr. by UD.
russel jr. has the label of pure boxer which means anything he does=he is winning. throw lots of volume but get hit with big shots=boxing clinic! pick and choose your shots while getting outworked=schooling alert! just don't get knocked out and you win!
Russell can mix it up in close and he has a lethal right hook that he throws with mean intentions. I like him to win, just all around superior from what I see.
