Sometimes having only 1 eye is not that big of a deal, it is never a good thing and does leave a blind spot but if the opposition is predictable so you can focus the good eye on where they will always be it is not that big of an issue. If a guy is a bit trickier and knows how to come out of that blind spot making a guy have to refocus that eye that is a much bigger problem. It is like any problem a guy has in the ring, it comes down to what the guy does with the problem and it comes down to what they other guy does to exploit the problem.
