I myself may watch the canelo-cotto fight but its not going to win because the casuals will still pick Floyd. You have to give him credit for a lot of people thinking he's boring but still buying his fights. Its not even always about the fight. Its an event. Its the thing to do that weekend. Everyone is like "you going to watch the Floyd fight"? Thats what they say. Also, I think he has slowly made people appreciate the art of it more and the pure side of boxing. I think maybe Cotto-Canelo had a chance until Floyd looked his most vulnerable in his previous fight. That actually has people thinking he may lose now which makes them want to see it more. A Maidana rematch outsells them. I think all 3 fights does but Maidana definitely. Also, what about 24/7 or 360? Cotto is boring outside the ring. Very monotone and Canelo doesnt speak english. That thing wont appeal to casuals like Floyd-Maidana, especially after what happened last fight. Maidana's crew will be talking mad smack which will make Floyd probably talk the most he's talked since Hatton. They will hype that fight up so much. I could see Maidana saying on camera that he's Floyd's daddy, them talking about hitting lil wayne, and calling Floyd a cry baby who only survived because they made him wear pillows. DLT but I wonder how many Mexicans household buy Mayweather PPV's, don't you think the whole West Coast, Texas and Florida will rather buy the Cotto/Canelo PPV. I honestly think more people here in the US will buy the Canelo/Cotto PPV instead of Mayweather's PPV. No, casual fans drive PPV and they are still far more familiar with Floyd then the other 2 who are mostly know to alot of people for losing to Floyd & Pac. Floyd still wins.
