Cottos performance against Martinez was nothing short of abysmal

abysmal ? didn't cotto score 3 knockdowns in the first round ? Sergios performance was abysmal to say the least Cotto came out strong and probably the best shape he's been in , in years i don't think abysmal was the right word to say the least

Cotto was taking care of business since Floyd and Manny wouldn't throw Martinez a bone. Same way he'd make quick work of Maidana if Floyd chased a Khan fight instead. Bradley and Marquez can come get some too. :boxing:

Murray, Chavez, Maclin, Baker and etc did not either. i think cotto was just being cautious since it was the 1st round and martinez does pack a punch. i was actually mad at cotto after the 3rd knock down for not going in, if cotto would have press more i think martinez would have went down for the 4th time in the 1st round but cotto backed up all the way to the corner and that took a few seconds off the clock so once the fight resume the round was over already.

I hope it won't happen, Cotto vs Floyd for the MW lineal title would be just wrong. And Cotto boxed beautifully against Martinez, I agree, but he's still 3-2 in his last 5 , apart from Sergio he defeated Margarito and D. Rodriguez while he lost to Trout and Floyd.
