Who would you like to see Cotto fight next?

Cotto is not going to fight anyone other than Floyd/Golovkin/Canelo. He is not at the stage to be fighting a "stay busy fight". If Canelo wins it will most likely be him. I want to see him fight Floyd. I don't think that one is possible until May.

Golovkin is way bigger than Cotto, that would be a risky fight. As people say it will probably be Canelo given he beats Lara. Makes sense from a business point of view. But Floyd surely feels horny about that green 160 strap? Not that Floyd could go up to 160, though? A lot of potential great match ups in the 140 to 160 range.

Canelo Trout 2 or Quillin just so we can watch Miguel completely destroy that fraud

Golovkin. He could also face Quillin, but I doubt Quillin takes the fiight.

Mayweather or Canelo those are the money fights and both are competitive! Ray.

Lets approach this realistically. Cotto is going to fight again in December and then spring The latter date will be against Canelo if he beats Lara. So Cotto will need a stay busy defense at 160 with someone that can be marketed and most likely someone from TR while GB/Haymon figure things out. Enter David Lemeuix. Strong, white, and slightly undersized. Just good enough to fight but not too dangerous to mess up the future. Coming off a KO win. Fans from MTL can come down to NYC and buy a ticket. Done.

His next fight should be against Austin Trout. Its a loss he should avenge and one he has a good chance of accomplishing. After that I would like to see him fight GGG, Timothy Bradley or Saul Canelo Alvarez, any of those fights are huge money makers. Then if he wins those he can should go after Floyd Mayweather. I think Miguel Cotto should have a couple more fights under Freddie Roach so that he can improve some more before taking on Floyd Mayweather. No way should Miguel Cotto move down because the MiddleWeight Championship is the most respected in boxing.

They already said Mayweather or Canelo.. those are really the only two options. Floyd said he was going to announce his next opponent in 2 weeks three weeks ago but now hes talking about being on paycation his version of a vacation lol

FYI: Bradley fought a series of fights as an amateur at 152. Getting to 154 1/2 is not an issue for him. But I don't want to see that. But in order for Cotto to make some serious bank he needs to put that Lineal MW strap on the line. That's 154 1/2 to 160 WBC is going to try and force him to fight Marco Antonio Rubio (aka the next mexican in line for a WBC sponsored payday). Something tells me TR might have an option on DiBella's Andy Lee seeing as he was on the undercard and fighting at 154. He'd go back up to 160 for a shot at the lineal title and I'm sure Cotto considers him an easy win. But Canelo makes the most sense. Thats a monstrous money maker.

I'd like Bradley, Quillin, Lara, Kirkland, Floyd. What do you guys think? My number 1 is the Floyd rematch. Floyd = same result Bradley = a guy who has never fought above 147 Quillin = good match up but HBO and Showtime beef? Lara = a guy who has a tough night against Canelo Kirkland = shouldn't get anymore paydays Personally the QUillin match is the only one that makes sense I'd rather Canelo v Cotto next if Canelo can beat Lara. Or maybe Cotto v Soliman as that's a fight he has a great chance of winning.

Canelo (if he beats Lara). That's a major event and an exciting fighting.

We want Mayweather baby!!!!! But Floyd stay ducking the rematch hard.

Quillin for me. He's just not that good. I honestly think Cotto can beat him.
