I was at MSG this weekend, and these two looked great in their respective first round TKO victories. Jose Pedraza also blitzed his opponent in the first round, but it appeared to be a bit of a quick stoppage. Jose Lopez looked less than spectacular in his decision win (he has never impressed me much).
No need to talk about Cotto-Martinez here, as everything has already been said in various different threads.
Jantony Ortiz made his pro debut on the undercard, and did so in impressive fashion. I was happy to find video of the fight on YouTube..
Felix Verdejo also looked very sharp, and many in the crowd seemed to already be taking a liking to him. I was also happy to find video of his fight..
Haters claim Fernando Vargas was pushed too fast and yet, want to see complete rookies like Verdejo fight p4p types already. The hate is comedy doe.
Exactly. He just turned 21. There is no need to push him too fast. He's been staying active, and is adapting nicely to the professional game.
wake me up when these bum stop FIGHTING BUMS SO FAR THEY ARE TRASH
I'd like to see Verdejo step it up a bit, but he's young. Cut him some slack. For Ortiz, it was his pro debut man. Who did you want him to fight?
