On ATG Status I've always felt MAB is/was a little overrated on NSB

Barrera is one of the best fighters of his era....But it would be hard to say he is in the same conversation as other p4p greats that fought from 122-130 Like Kid Chocolate, Tony Canzoneri, Willie Pep, Sandy Saddler, Vincente Saldivar, Alexis Arguello, and Azumah Nelson Barrera's best wins are over Naseem Hamed(underrated All-Time and should be in the hall of fame by now) 2-1 against Erik Morales and then there is a huge drop off in his competition kennedy McKinney, Paulie Ayala, Agapito Sanchez and Jesus Salud, Johnny Tapia and Kevin Kelly were washed up by the time he fought them IMO Hamed has a better resume and better competition in less fights. He lost head to head but in 36 victories he defeated overall better fighters Also Bobby Chacon, Little Red Lopez have comprobable and maybe even better competition defeated
