Says every guy whos ever been ko'd in pro boxing
There was no need to waste your time typing a reply to him. You need to be deluded to make it as a world-class athlete. Groves spoke well, going back to Booth would be an astute move.
He'll be fine but he needs to keep the left up after punching and stick with the jab.
His style is sort of like Haye's or Pascal's where the left is intentionally kept low to draw the opponent in. The problem is that Froch can sometimes be deceptively quick and that's what happened with the KO - Groves just wasn't expecting Froch to throw the right that quickly, he was expecting to land his left hook before the right could reach him.
Props to him he took the loss like a man, no bs about how he was weight drained or bad training camp blah blah, straight up the better man won in the end, he was winning til that KO so he should realise he has the ability to do that again.
Very well spoken by Groves. Broner should take some tips from this lad.
It may seem as though it is all over for Groves, but Amir Khan is a great example of a person that got up from his KO defeat and forged a fantastic career for himself. I'm sure Groves can.
Wish him all the best.
I wish the guy well.......lots of character and honesty to stand in front of camera after having endured a crushing defeat like that. Probably the very last thing he wanted to do but he did it and that shows that he can comeback. Well done George.
He has nothing to be ashamed of, he is only 26 and has had 21 pro fights
Yet he gave Froch the hardest fights of his career, first fight he dominated him, second fight it was 50/50 all the way till the KO
He firstly needs a better trainer, go back with Booth or find someone who can work with his style, needs to sort out his defence
He has so much talent and ability, he'll be back, he's young enough to fix his weaknesses.
Whats scary is GG has not peaked yet, he will only get better, give it another 4 years
