I've always wonder why Mayweather promotions dont have a promotions license in Nevada,
They have to use golden boy to promote there fights, how will that work if schaefer leaves. Haymon does not have one either like to see how this plays out.
Aramis killed this thread. Good work.
lol wut?
You have no idea what your talking about.. I own an LLC, grant it in another state, but the whole purpose is to shield you from lawsuits, and limit liability hence the name
Example: I own a restaurant, and if someone slips and falls and we are found liable, the person can sue the hell out of the LLC, take all it's assets, but as an owner, my personal liability is protected meaning the person couldn't sue and get my house, or any personal assets... It has absolutely nothing to do about SHIELDING LOSSES. Even in the post you quoted it doesn't say anything about shielding losses... You are not protected from losses, you either make money or the LLC goes bankrupt and closes, and the money invested is lost...
And it doesn't have anything to do with cronyism.. Honestly, after reading your post, I don't think you have any idea what your talking about..
"SHIELDING LOSSES, CRONYISM" it has no relation or correlation with an LLC
Boxingscene is an LLC, ask rick reeno if his losses are covered, if any are incurred...
LLC is one of the most effective ways for small businesses to setup..
:lol1::lol1::lol1::lol1:
Stop being a dishonest and blind cheerleader burner.
MAYWEATHER PROMOTIONS, LLC
MAYWEATHER PROMOTIONS, LLC Promotor LAS VEGAS NV Active

why are you showing us a link of a beauty barber college license?
:dunno:
Any more theories why Mayweather promotions have no license? The media is useless... All we can do is speculate.
To why they don't have a promoters license in NEVADA one would have to ask if one was needed. Its obvious they use GBP for promotions in Nevada. That all could change for there next fight depending on how this GBP rift turns out. Like another poster said they probably save money and resources.
I don't know if I read the Nevada License Responsibilities right but I'm assuming if Mayweather Promotion Gets a license they have to cover all the associated costs and give up 6% of ticket sales no wonder he's not lisenced he probably saves a couple million each fight and those cost are passed along for GB to cover.
Limited Liability Corporations (Only in America is a bull**** system like this is allowed btw LOL) specifically designed to shield owners from losses.
And people wonder why Cronyism is so common today.

I'm actually trying to give you the benefit of doubt .... But just as a FYI, the Washington State Department of Licensing does not document, regulate, nor does it have any jurisdictional authority over licensing in Nevada.
Now with that being stated, why would you post rebuttal attempts using links to the Washington State Department of Licensing?
Yes, I'm missing something, and I think you're missing quite a bit :lol1:
I was referring to the thread topic.
Why doesn't Mayweather Promotions have a license??? Does That does that help...let me know if your still missing something

Perhaps I'm missing something here .... But what does the Washington State Department of Licensing website have to do with Nevada?

The company seems to have been set up solely to allow floyd to reap some profit off all of the revenue streams generated by his fights. Maybe he and schaeffer will form a more "complete" promotional company when he retires.
That was the reason it was set-up as a LLC and not a full promotional entity.
In all honesty, its very easy to get a Promotional License -- 50cent is a perfect example. But when it comes to the IRS, that's where the differences manifest and it is huge.

:lol1: Agreed ......... But its the American way!! :unitedsta
Had to search for this .... which the OP could have done as well
Being a LLC in Nevada has a bunch of tax advantages including no personal income tax, no corporate tax, no gift tax, and no unitary tax.
There are also liability advantages for being located in Nevada including the fact that officers (C-level, presidents, vice presidents, etc.) cannot be sued as an individual for actions tied to the company, except for outright fraud.
There are a bunch of business-friendly privacy laws in Nevada as well.
