Should Froch be no. 1 if he beats Groves?

Based on resume, Froch is already ahead of Ward. And I like Ward quite a bit more than Froch (not that I dislike Froch). Current rankings aren't based on past glories, it's what have you done lately. Andre Ward has great skills, but he hasn't done anything in quite a while. He is becoming irrelevant and his prime is wasting away.

George Groves has always been a pretty fast fighter. Pretty explosive as well. Faster than Ward? I don't think so. But he's pretty quick. His speed is rather average.

it's amazing how the same group of people can feel one way about guillermo rigondeaux, and a completely opposite way about andre ward. Rigondeaux and Klitschko (check his opponents between David Haye in 2011 and Povetkin in 2013, no one would claim he should have been dropped from no.1 in that period) too. At the end of the day if your personal ranking system ends up with the best fighter in the division not being no.1, then you have a sh*t system.

Struggling to justify Ward being Number 1 now, after only beating rodriguez. He also fought Goosen twice, getting knocked out both times. Not the best resume in the past few years.

Ward beat Chad Dawson and unbeaten North American champ Rodriguez. Froch got his arse kicked by unbeaten commonwealth champ. Ward is the champ, you're kidding yourself if you count the Froch v Groves winner as better than him.
